Chapter Eighteen: An unfair judgement given without any mercy and one step closer to the ultimate plan ●|●|●|●● □○■●■● ●|●|●●● As the princess crossed different dimensions she saw things that made her long for home more than she had ever longed for the walls she once regarded as an inescapable prison. She saw herself and realised that she was in the best reality despite her awful destiny. As the crevices of time were breached and fates were rewritten; the princess came to a knowledge that would forever change the very meaning of her existence; she came to know that not only she could manipulate the stretch of time and that she had more enemies than she could have ever imagined; and each of them regarded themselves as her companion and the driver of her destiny. ♡•♤•♤•♤•♡• •♤•♤•♡•♤♡•♤ Elysium time; the future in another realm of reality ■•■•■♤•♤•♤•♤• ■■ The young woman growled in frustration as the High Law lunged from his seat and pinned her against the floor, pressing his body into mine and burying his face into my neck before taking a long, terrifying whiff of her scent as though he was taunting that he could smell the lies coming from her. Seeping from the pores in her soul and she was afraid but still managed to speak. "Why are you doing this me? I am nothing to you. I don't even know who you people are…please, please take me home. I can't stand this, please." She balled her hands up into fists, suppressing every moan threatening to flow out of her as her stupid, timid nature was causing her to tremble and her cowardness gnawed at her and lessened her resistance. "Oh you know very well who we are. The best doctors in all realms has examined you and found nothing wrong with you. This act that you are putting on is only going to call for much more heavy punishment and it disgusts me. Did you really think that you will seat on the throne? Is that why you killed your father? If you dare to deny it again yet you had his blood dripping from your hands then I'll be forced to leave a mark on your flawless face." "Yes, honorable High Law, they had not whipped her enough, maybe that is the only language she will understand" the Second Ruling, a handsome middle- aged man she had learned to be called, Cullin, urged the High Law on and she could tell just how much he desired to spit on her face the same way he did when he collected her from her cell last night. "Our queen was so devastated and heartbroken that she almost lost her life because of this worthless, pathetic creature, you must show her no mercy. Her punishment must be no less than what she deserves." Cullin continued to instigate with passion and the others seemed to agree with him on each and every word. High Law Ian's head snapped to his side and he growled at Second Ruling Cullin. "Shut the f**k up, Cullin. I do not appreciate your tone and I did not ask for your input. This is my court, if you must share an opinion then you shall do so once I am done talking. Princess, you are to be stripped off your royal title and then be executed. You of all people know what the punishment for treason is. " His jaw clenched as he locked eyes with her again and she feared that he would wrap his large hands around her neck and strangle her to death if not bludgeon her lifeless with his fists. "You have crossed the line, princess Venia, death would be too good for you, you are the worst creature I have ever faced in this court, your lack of remorse disgusts me. If you are not for your people and kingdom, then you are against us and are our enemy. That includes all who have associated with you. We will kill them all before your eyes." The High Law declared maliciously and the tough act she had put on crumbled down at his words and her salty tears rolled down her cheeks. Her heart was torn apart by pain, her chest was tight and she could not take in air properly. Being wrongfully accused was the most unjust, hurtful thing that has ever happened to her. She was being set up and no one wanted to believe her. That emerald eyed woman who was posessing her and tampering with her thoughts was the one using her to cover up her lies. She was the one who wanted the king dead. She had never agreed to do it, she only asked if there was any other way to get her to leave her alone. For whatever reason, that woman loathed her just before she had stolen her reflection and had no body at least that is the reason she thought a ghost of some woman would hate her. She had came to her when she was barely talking, sometimes she wondered if she was born with her because it sure felt like there was never a moment she was not with her. Before she was older the woman just disregarded her, she barely noticed her and she was stunned when she started paying more attention to her. She started whispering into her ears in the dead of night making sure that she does not sleep, she started scaring her with visions of violence and monsters during the day to keep her always alert and on edge until everyone around her thought that she was insane and needed serious mental evaluation. She started devising ways to get me in grave trouble with the people around her by first convincing her that she does not deserve to be loved then she started chanting the narrative that she was not in a world that was her own and that greater things awaited her if she just followed her destiny. The woman told her that she was royalty but she was cursed by a powerful witch who will doom all her bloodline if she does not return to her time and stop her. She called that world Elysium. Gosh how she f*****g hated that word. She had heard it so many times that it featured in many of her nightmares. She never did believe that woman or any word she said about her destiny but now that she was here she was beginning to think that everything she had said about the alternative realms and her identity was true. The last nightmare she had was so vivid she woke up in a park with blood on her hands but still she did not believe that she killed anyone. She wasn't capable, was she? No, she would not even harm a simple moth, let alone spill someone's guts with a sword. No, they had it all wrong, she was not guilty. She am not furtive in nature, unlike the agile predators around me; stealth was not her strongest point, so she was caught eavesdropping and had to carry on as though she had not heard anything, but soon after she heard those two women having conversation in the dark corners of the park, she was caught by something and she blacked out and woke up with very strong men pulling her arms behind her back and desperately trying to restrain her. The blood, she could still remember how cold it felt dripping from her hands, she could still almost smell just how fresh and potent it was. The guards had claimed to have seen her stab the king but were put under some kind of spell that made them incapable of moving so they had no other choice but to watch her slay their king. On top of the murder she was being accused of, she was also accused of being a witch and of being in alliance with the witches who were trying to destroy the kingdom. Of course she denied those claims that she practiced dark magic and was now part of the dark forces meaning that she was unfit to be in the royal counsel. They refused to believe her, that she was not their princess, that she was just a regular high schooler who found herself in the body of a woman she had never seen before. In fact they told her that if anything of what she is saying is true then she brought it upon herself because it must be the consequences of her using dark magic and killing an elite member of the Golden Circle. It was nothing that could trigger any sort of compassion from the court, especially not from High Law Ian. She knew that that wicked woman was going to succeed in dooming her. She had brought her here and had ever since went silent so she was clearly the one who had made her end up in this situation. She had no one on her side and she was nothing but a worthless murderer and disgusting traitor in their eyes. For some reason the woman felt threatened by her and wanted to get rid of her at all cost. "Please, High Law please, anyone, I swear on my life, I did not do it, please, you have to believe me! I am cursed, many thought I was crazy but I just wanted to get rid of her, she was making my life miserable, please believe me, please, " I implored, my sobs cutting in after every word and the rage in his eyes burned brighter at my pleadings. "She said she was helping me fulfill my destiny, that was just trying to help me, I did not even believe a single word she was saying but I just wanted to get rid of her so I pretended to believe her and agree to do whatever she wants me to do. I would never kill anyone, your king is not my father because I am not princess Venia but still I would never be capable of killing him or have any reason to. Please take me back home, please let me go, please, I am innocent! I am innocent!" She shrieked as the ruthless High Law yanked her head back before throwing her off her knees and the cheerful spectators rejoiced as she met the ground with her chin and a spasm of pain rippled across her face, all the way to the back of her head. In that moment, she made a promise to herself. A vow that she was going to keep until she take my very last breath, if she does not die tonight. The woman was going to regret ever messing with her. She was going to take them all down and find out the truth, they were all going to live to regret this. Her pain and suffering will not be in vain. "I do not care what you have to say, I would save all of that energy if I were you." She cowered as he rose from his seat and glared at her form, casting a dark shadow on her with his imposing, hulking build. "As punishment, I am banishing you from my court and from every realm under our former king. In the midnight hour, you will be thrown in the Blood River Forest, and believe me, I cannot wait for the monsters there to tear you apart." That was a death sentence. The infamous Blood River Forest was the habitat of the most dangerous, demented beasts and the most powerful, aggressive, ruthless demon wolves and fearsome, bloodthirsty lycans. The Forest was feared by all, no one ever walked into that forest and made it out. They all were never seen again. She had been taunted with the stories of that forest all day the previous day and she believed every word. "Look at me!" He snapped as she lowered her eyes and they immediately shot up to his tense face. "I want you to memorize this face, I want my face to be the last thing you see when you suffer the most excruciatingly painful death, when you take your very last breath. No pain you will ever suffer will ever surpass the pain of losing a king and having a life taken so senselessly. He was not a father to you but he was more than a king to me, he was the man I would give my life for. I wish you a slow, unbearably painful death, Venia, I knew I should've let Arkyva snap your little neck in half while you were just a little babe." High Law Ian gave her one last death glare before he turned his attention to the three, tall, hunky men posed behind her. "Take her away and wait for my instruction."
