Pain.
It slashes through me like a thousand knives, cutting so deep that I feel like I’m being ripped apart. My body is burning, every nerve set ablaze as a blinding light consumes me.
I can hear voices muffled, distant, desperate.
Kyle.
His voice is the loudest, filled with rage, with worry, with something raw and broken.
"Reina! Wake up!"
But I can’t.
Something is pulling me under, deeper into the darkness.
And then
A voice, smooth as silk and powerful as the wind, whispers through my mind.
"Come to me, my daughter."
The pain fades. The darkness disappears.
