(Reina’s POV)
The night was supposed to be peaceful.
The war was over. The kingdom was rebuilding. Kyle and I had just been crowned as Alpha King and Luna Queen, ushering in a new era of unity.
Yet as I lay in our chambers, the cold whisper still clung to my skin.
"You think you've won?"
The words had been barely audible, but they lingered echoing in my mind long after the presence had vanished.
Something was out there. Watching. Waiting.
I sat up, running a hand through my silver-touched hair. Kyle stirred beside me, his body instinctively reaching for mine. Even in his sleep, his Alpha instincts remained sharp.
I sighed, pressing a hand to my chest. My powers, newly awakened and still growing, hummed beneath my skin. I should have felt at peace. Instead, I felt…restless.
