Orion walked out of the Council building, his hands and chest drenched in blood. Outside the building, a crowd of clan people had gathered, both old and young, male and female alike. He had sent an urgent, pack-wide command summoning all of them to the square earlier, and none had dared to disobey.
As he stood at the top of the stone steps, looking down at the crowd, his claws twitched at his sides. He had heard murmurs of how Elder Sam had ordered Aurora to be dragged through the dirt streets as a public humiliation, and he gritted his teeth in anger. He had wanted to make their deaths slow, torturous, and agonizing, but the rage had blinded him so that he hadn't been able to reason through a punishment. His beast had shredded them to pieces.
