I'd been anxious for a week now, even though I'd reread the message Knox sent more times than I could count, and that was still all he'd sent; Just one text. I kept telling myself maybe it was a fluke, a slip, because the Knox I knew was never this calm. He would have come for me; he should have shown up, but there'd been nothing.
