She quickly choked out the explanation, and Orion let out a monstrous snarl that rattled the surrounding trees, making the birds in the trees fly away. “What did I order you to do before I left? I told you to protect her with your life!” he growled, his grip tightening. “That was your only job!”
“I’m sorry,” she choked out, apologizing profusely through the restriction.
Orion threw her body aimlessly to the side in his blind rage, but before she could crash onto the dirt, Liam moved forward, using his body to catch her and break her fall. Orion didn't look back at them as he shifted into his bear form on the run, his clothes shredding as he picked up a manic race toward the center of the territory. He prayed to the ancestors that Aurora should be okay and fine.
