Aurora's POV
“I killed them.”
I stared at Orion when he said that, my head tilting slightly to look at him as his hands clenched at his sides while he gritted his teeth. Despite what he just said, a soft smile slipped onto my face as I reached out and grabbed his hands, squeezing them lightly.
“I’m fine now. You saved me,” I said softly, because I could still feel the anger emitting from his body in waves. I didn’t know why I could suddenly discern his emotions, but underneath the rage, I felt a crushing layer of remorse, pain, and guilt.
I smiled, caressing the back of his hand with my fingers. “There is no need for you to feel guilty. I am okay, and you exacted revenge for me. I like it.” And it was the truth.
