Chapter 46 - Unknown Unknown POV I've been watching from the shadows, lurking in the dark, moving every piece until it finally fell into place. I'm the master of the darkness, and darkness always rewards patience. I walked through the dark hallway of the former council building, after making sure the guard on duty was fast asleep. The place stank of dried blood and rot, the stench thick enough to cling to the back of my throat. The dead elders hadn't even been given a proper burial. They'd simply been left to decay in the room they'd been locked inside, sealed away with the mess they made. A fitting kind of payback, I supposed, for what they'd done to that poor girl.
