Dante is taking David's departure as expected. He's been distracting himself with work and since he forced himself to feed on David before he let him go, he feels him and the ache that started Sunday is very present inside of me along with my own. Stupid decisions have stupid consequences.

"You are f*****g up my dark ju-ju with your negative bullshit," Lily groans. She's sitting in the middle of our room surrounded by black candles. There's a bowl of weird s**t that's doubling as incense in front of her. "I can feel your heartbroken aura poking my left side like it wants to play tickle the goth girl,"

"Lily, no offense but you're f*****g weird as s**t," I laugh. She turns to look at me with a huge grin on her face.

"Thank you. Ash, did you really think that dating two alpha shitholes in love with one another was going to end well for any of you?"

"Yeah, they were in love and I love them both," I shrug. "I'm fine. I just- Dante is taking this way hard and I don't know how to help him and David blocked me,"

"Okay, rule number one. No more David. I shouldn't have to tell you that, sweetie," she gets up and sits at the end of my bed. "Rule number two. No sulking. You're f*****g up the vibe. Rule three. Let's get high and then we can come up with a super cute plan to make the big sulky rockstar smile again. Yes?"

"It could blow up in our faces. Dante is kind of a slippery slope. When he's not in the mood. He's not in the mood and can be rough,"

"Oh, yeah? Do you not like him getting rough?" she smirks and produces two blunts from the inside of her leather jacket.

"I didn't say that," I reach for one. "I just don't want him to hurt my feelings,"

"Thank god," Kelly barges in and shuts the door behind her. She snatches the other blunt from her and puts it to her lips. She looks around and finds Lily's mini flame torch to light it. "Carter is driving me insane with this David bailing bullshit," she inhales a deep puff of smoke and releases it. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," I nod taking the blunt when she offers it. I offer the one in my hand back to Lily for later.

"What are we doing?" she asks looking around at the candles.

"I was meditating," Lily takes the torch out of her hand. "And yes, you are welcomed to my weed,"

"Sorry, I'm upset," she sighs and sits where Lily had been sitting. She takes a deep breath and nods. "That smells amazing. Crushed lavender and vanilla root?"

"You meditate?"

"No, I grew up in a w***e house. Helps with the smell of s*x and booze," she shrugs.

"Oh, I have questions," Lily grins.

"No," I shake my head. "Rule number one for you. Don't antagonize the angry Japanese mini-ninja. That includes asking personal questions about her childhood, past relationships, and business. Did I miss anything?"

"Nope, you got it all covered," Kelly smiles.

"So, what's the deal between you two? Did you...?" Lily holds up her hands and bangs them together making a scissoring gesture. This is my new friend. XD

"I wish," Kelly rolls her eyes. "This b***h is hard to get to put out. Why do you think Dante and David are so f*****g whipped?"

"Should have bleached your hair," I shrug. Lily laughs. "It was an obvious fix,"

"Damn, you'd make a sexy-ass blonde," Lily nods. "I've always thought that. How long have we been beefing Kels?"

"Since I landed in Hellbourne International," Kelly grins. "Do you remember that?"

"How can I forget? You put my Prada Luggage in a dirty toilet. My mom sued the airline," she laughs. "I can't believe I'm here sharing my weed with you,"

"Compliments of Ashley Villanueva or we'd be at each other's throats over a few things," Kels nods.

"Like what?" Lily grins exhaling a huge puff of smoke.

"Ashley, freakiest b***h in school, richest b***h in school, body counts, most laws broken, oh yeah, and Tony," she looks up at us with a smirk.

"Anthony Daniels," Lily nods. "He told me about you,"

"Don't," I shake my head feeling a tingling sensation crawl up my spine.

"All bad things?" Kelly smiles.

"Yeah, a few unexpectedly cute ones," she offers Kelly the blunt. Kelly locks eyes with her as she takes the blunt out of Lily's perfect hands.

"Anthony is a very fragile boy," Kelly says unexpectedly. "If you do anything to hurt him I'll finally give into my one fantasy of you and mount your head in Blackstone manor next to Dante's father's head. And yes, that rumor is true. My taxidermy skills are up to date,"

"I don't know if you know this but I saw him first," Lily smiles sweetly. "You dabbled. I get it. The first hit is always the best. He was never going to be yours and even if he does one day bow to your whim," she says mockingly. "He'll never love you. Not really. You're dark and cute but there's no mystery to you. Nothing that makes you special. You're just an angry little cutie that is really good at math. Lots of you running around in Japan,"

"f**k," I laugh. "I did not peg you for a mean girl,"

"Ashley," she uses a playful tone. "I am the sexiest mean girl in Hellbourne City. I've been kicked out and banned from literally almost every school I've gone to. Including the big three. The only reason I'm here now is because Mrs. Dubois cut a deal with the D.A. That and my dad put a gun to his wife's face,"

"Wow, you're like a legit mafia dude's princess," I nod.

"Mm, not mafia. War Lord. Kind of like Espinosa's dad only on a grander scale and a lot more organized. The only man my dad's ever been afraid of was Dante's and now Dante. I mean the kid murdered his father and mounted his head in his study to look at, for shits and giggles. Have you seen it?"

"I've never been in his study and I think it's for the best," I shake my head. They both laugh.

"Despite what you may have heard, Ashley here is a good girl," Kelly smiles. "She only gets down and dirty for Dante,"

"b***h," I laugh. They both grin.

"I mean there's loyalty. If you got down and dirty for just anybody you lose the mystery," Lily grins. "Good s**t, Villanueva. I like you more already,"

"Seriously, Ash. How are you doing with the whole David thing?" Kelly asks and turns her body to face me. "She talking to you?"

"She said she was worried about Danny," Lily shrugs.

"Come on. You're a huge ass crybaby. You should have seen her when her parents kicked her out,"

"Dude, really? That sounds like a win," Lily scoffs.

"f**k you guys," I roll my eyes and take the blunt from Kelly. I inhale and try to fight how much the question is affecting me. "I just don't want Dante to feel more than he already does because of me,"

"Sweetie, he's heartbroken. He can't feel anymore unless you bail too,"

"That's not your burden to bear," Kelly shakes her head. "David has always been a liability. The only person that wanted him here was Dante. I wanted you here for me but I was way in over my head. The others love you. You match our energy and you deliver despite your moral compass. Once David and Dante started fencing s**t kind of started sucking,"

"Before you continue," Lily interrupts her. "Why is that? Ash, why do you do the crazy s**t you do for Dante?"

"Originally?"

"Sure," she shrugs.

"Before I knew who he was, this big ass scary dude forced me into his limo, gave me a ride to the Southside, went through my s**t, kicked me out of the said limo, and handed me a f*****g card with three sixes on it.

"Then I gave it to my boss, a twenty-one-year-old head chola, who was about to rip me a new one for getting caught in enemy territory, paled and told me I worked for him. Gave me four thousand dollars in cash and wished me well. I figured if my scary ass boss who had me kidnapped and beaten within an inch of my life was scared of this man. It was in my best interest to take orders and he doesn't stutter, so," I shrug. "It's kind of starting to grow on me. Tony and I turned it into a game,"

"Holy s**t," she laughs. "I don't know why I had this grand romantic notion. Like you were playing the piano and he was walking by and was like damn and took a peek into the room and sitting there at the piano is this-" she takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. "-beautiful little thing playing like the wrath of god would descend on the earth if she didn't finish, I don't know, Fur Elise, and then when it was over. Your eyes met and boom. Motherfucking sparks,"

"That happened after," Kelly bursts into laughter. "And it was Rush E,"

"Rush E? That's not romantic," Lily shakes her head. "If I walked in on you playing Rush E I wouldn't want to f**k you. But if I walked in on you playing Fur Elise. Now that's a different story,"

"They played it together," Kelly grins.

"Oh, oh," she nods. "Yeah, if he kept up with you for just a moment, I'd like that,"

"For a moment? No, he f*****g mimicked my hands the exact way I played them for him seconds before. Mimicked. In the same way, I had played it. He played it back to me. That s**t was mental. Like I can't even begin to describe how insane that was. I've m*********d to that memory several f*****g times and I will never f*****g get over it," I rush out excitedly and when I look up Dante and Anthony are standing in the doorway. "Aww, f**k. This always happens to me," I curl into a ball. "Can you wait outside for a minute?"

"Yes," he answers and shuts the door. Lily and Kelly burst into a fit of giggles.

"Oh. My. God," Lily shouts. "That was both beautiful and embarrassing at the same time,"

"Did you see his face?" Kelly falls over laughing. "That was f*****g great. I really needed this. I f*****g miss hanging out with you. You and I have completely different perspectives of that memory,"

"You were there?" Lily laughs.

"So was David," Kelly nods still laughing like a maniac.

"This just gets better and better," she slides down to the floor to sit with her.

"I am going to go outside and try to piece together what's left of my dignity," I get up making them laugh. "Don't try to kill one another. Someone, please open the window,"

"I have another blunt," Lily holds it up.

"Hmm, I thought we'd make good friends. It was just more fun fighting with you," Kelly admits.

"Aww, thanks. That makes me want to kill you a little less now,"

"What is happening in there? Why didn't you invite me to girl talk?" Anthony demands when I step out.

"Well, for starters you're not a girl, honey. And I have no idea what's happening in there but we're getting along," I grin. Ha. Suck it, Carter. "What are you guys up to?"

"Do you want to come with us to kill some people?" he asks. I look up at Dante.

"Yes," Lily rips the door behind me open. "Can I come? I would like to go do that with you guys,"

"Yes, you are most definitely invited," Tony grins. Dante motions him inside the room.

"That's not-" I shake my head, but Kelly is already up and walking out of my room. She holds up the blunt.

"Keeping this. I'll see you guys later," she says and walks down the hall to her room. Lily bursts into giggles again.

"That was fang-f*****g-tastic. Did you see her face?" she nods. "Brutal,"

"Shut the door," Dante glares at her. She should not be enjoying that.

"Okay," she grins and pulls Anthony into the room with her and then slams it shut.

"You have some impressive storytelling skills," is the first thing that comes out of his mouth. The ache in my chest is momentarily gone. So instead of chewing him out, I laugh.

"I have a few of those if you want me to share those skills with you," I smirk. He grins.

"I'm sure you do," he tips my head back and leans to place a kiss on my lips. I swoon when he takes a sliver. I have to shake my head a little to refocus on him. "I need some backup. We're going to do some stuff for Carter. Anthony thought it would be good for us to test the waters with Lily,"

"So, is that an official order, sir?" I ask rocking back and forth in my boots.

I knew Carter wanted us to do something soon. We had been making plans for a while and as of late he hasn't been keeping secrets and he's been letting me in on trade secrets. I don't care what he says. We're friends. He's a lot easier to get along with because, unlike Kelly, Carter tells me what he needs me to do straight out. I mean it scares the s**t out of me because I know he's never joking around. His orders are concise. Kelly sometimes likes to f**k with me. I've almost shot two people because of her s**t. She's the only one that thinks it's funny.

"Yeah, it is. Go put on something black for me, Villanueva," he smirks. "I want to see some more of those hidden talents,"
