EP 40 - BRINGING THEM DOWN.

Conrad kept moving until he reached where the mighty Dragon lay asleep with its wounds still visible.

'Now how to wake it up?' Conrad thought.

"Hey!!!!! get up you Evolutionized, ginormous lizard!!!! Its time for you to wake up." The dragon still lay in its deep slumber, unperturbed. Conrad groaned . He didnt believe he was going to do this. He would have walked out of there to move to a distant cave of his own and live there for the rest of eternity

"Hey Draaaagon here's your breakfast , Hot, fresh and ready to be served!" Conrad said .

The dragon ignored him and was still fast asleep.

Seeing this, Conrad now frustrated yelled at it" Come on and Get the F**k up already !!!!!!"

One of the dragon's eye opened , vertical black slits visible as it drew itself to its full height, its mouth open ready to bring out fire.

Conrad hair stood on its end .

"Now calm down..."He stammered. "Nice dragon , Nice dragon ."

The monster opened up it's mouth and emitted a blazing ball of fire at Conrad and he ducked.

"F**k !"

"Where the hell is he?" Avyanna tapped her foot impatiently.

"Pretty sure , he's dead. Come on , Lets leave." Levi took Kyra's hand as she was still peering into the darkness of the cave.

She squinted harder and saw a familiar figure."Wait it's Conrad!".

Conrad jumped out of the cave as the menacing Dragon appeared flying in the air.

Percival gripped his sword and glared at it with hatred.

"Remember the plan!" Kyra told Avyanna and She nodded.

"Follow me." Avyanna shouted out to the boys who nodded in agreement.

They split up into two with only Kyra heading right and the rest of them going left.

The Dragon spotting it's Long time enemy , who had always been trying to take away its treasure, it Followed the majority and left Kyra behind.

After a few minutes, Kyra was about to go into the cave when she saw the sour faced advisor sneak in the area with two other tough and dirty looking men and they enter the cave.

Kyra knew something was wrong because first , noone was born with that expression on his face - like seriously, was his mother frowning during his conception and as she was giving birth to him?! , And secondly , her demon sense has smelt a rat, she knew he was up to something...

But she didnt know what.

The four were able to successfully lead the Dragon away from its lair.

"So what now?" Conrad asked as the dragon Hovered menacingly over them.

Eva opened up her note pad and Set it down on the table.

John took it up and read it.

"There are Nine Steps to Slay a dragon." John said.

"Yes.' Eva folded her arms. "But Four out of Nine is Kyra's area of expertise."

"So we have only five options left. We're so dead!!!!" Conrad lamented.

"Stop whining and be a man!"Levi spoke directly to Conrad.

"We'll make it out alive if we divide and conquer." Avyanna said to the men. "Now the only problem ..." She added "Is how to get that thing down from the sky. Any ideas?"

"We could shoot it down?" Obi enjoined.

"That wouldn't work. Dragons have a plate of armor made up of eternuim covering their entire body . Your bullets won't even make a dent." Levi replied.

"How do you know so much about them?" Percival questioned.

"Dated one.Possessive Creatures, they are. Had to get rid of her the hard way." He answered simply.

Avyanna rolled her eyes. She really wished Kyra was here right now. This would have been a piece of cake for her.

"We need to improvise.Think!! What is hard enough to pierce through armor??!".

Percival thought back to his earlier days of Joining the Paladins.. Dragons were a major subject that they taught on. Ulrich explained their weakness, when and how to strike. He was taught that a lance, a weapon that was capable of tearing and piercing anything , with it sharp pointed teeth could be able to pierce a dragon armour but didn't do as much damage as the main Scale blade.

"A lance. That's all I need to bring it down."Percival spoke seriously.

" You a plain mortal wants to throw a Lance across the horizon to bring a dragon to the ground." Levi sneered.

"Not anywhere. A direct hit to it's gas bladder so it would lose all its air that keeps it in the air."Percival explained.

Avyanna touched Levi shoulder . "We have to give him a chance."

Levi heaved a sigh.

Avyanna took a deep breath. She had the ability to create objects from earth, air water and fire. "Ferrum Destrictum". She chanted . Avyanna summoned up a lance and handed it to Percival.

Avyanna looked him straight in the eye. "You have only one shot."

He nodded.

The dragon made circles in the sky. Percival stared at it and took a deep breath.

Sky held the die and tossed.

He threw it with a All his might at the Dragon. The sharp tip pierced the Dragon's armor and it gave a sharp cry as it tore through its Gas bladder and it crashed down to the floor.

"Yes!!!" Obi exclaimed.

The dragon angered breathed a huge gust of fire at them as they all ducked.

They all took cover behind a huge rock.

"What are we going to do now?"Conrad asked peeping to catch a glimpse of the ferocious monster.

Levi gave a frozen smile

"Anyone of you ever killed a live Dragon before?"

Avyanna raised an eyebrow coyly.

Kyra followed the men into the cave. She hid by a pile of stones as she monitored the men's movements. Balewich, the sour faced advisor and the other two ruffians where filling up the sack bags that they had brought with gold, diamonds, silver and other treasures.

Kyra stood up. "Woah, hold up! What are you guys doing with my treasure?' She asked.

Balewich sneered at her. "This is my treasure now! And soon it will be my Kingdom. That stupid old king doesn't know what's good for him. " He laughed coldly.

"25 years of service and never appreciated. He doesn't even know the value of the crown he wears! " He growled. "Now with all this gold and other treasures , I can build myself an army! Take over his kingdom and rule forever!!!!" Balewich said triumphantly.

Kyra blew a raspberry. "That's the second most stupid plan I've heard today." She flung her hair that was steadily growing back over her shoulders. " Why would you want to rule a kingdom? All the politics and thinking an the weight of responsibilities to bear!"

Balewich stuttered."Its...Its...not your concern. Get her!"

The two men moved towards her. "Boys, please..."Kyra turned her hands into fists and cleaned them. C'mon guys can will be civil "Lets talk it out."

"Roll"

Kyra cracked her knuckles.

She gave one a powerful punch in his abdomen and bent all his fingers backward breaking his arm. And after one kick to the groin , the first one was comatose leaving the second one.

The second one came up to her.

"Roll"

He hit her hard in the face.

Kyra spat out the blood . She cleaned up the ones that managed to get on her face . The man grinned unsympathetically.

He attempted to strike her again , when she caught his arm midway. She rapidly began to metamorphorse into something indescribably hideous. The man eyes widened as he fell to the floor whimpering in fright and cowardice.

The monster stepped over his body and walked slowly towards Balewich whose teeth were now chattering in fear.

The monster bent into his face and Balewich felt its cold breath on his face. He fell to the ground in awe and fright as he crawled into a corner.

The monster slowly changed back into Kyra , her clothes shredded in various places as in her demon form was no longer her size . She then came up to him and squatted.

" In God's name , Wh ...What are you? Where did you come from?!"

Kyra shot him...

A genial smile.

"From Hell , Priest."

Balewich shuddered as Kyra punched him in the face...

And everything went blank and then dark.
