Simon drove to the George's home after three days. He got in and saw the family together. Immediately George saw him, he ran and knelt in front of him, “please have mercy. We don't have enough money to pay you off and I can't hsnd over my daughter to you either.”

Simon shoved him off, “what are you talking about? My money was sent to me last night.”

George's body stiffened, “wh…what are you talking about? I did not send any money to you.”

Simon opened his phone and showed him the credit alert on his phone. “You sent all my money to me last night.”

George turned to his wife, “what is he talking about?

His wife shook her head, “I don't know either.”

“Who the hell transferred all my savings to him last night?”, he screamed in rage.

“I did it.” Ivy's body shook in fear as she spoke. “I transferred the money last night to him.”

Her mother looked at her in shock, “why would you do that Ivy?”

“He threatened to marry me off if he cannot pay his debt off. How will I sit back doing nothing when I'm about to be sold off?” Angry tears rolled down her cheeks.

George stood up and walked to his daughter in rage, “and because of your selfish reasons, you transferred all my life savings to him?” “Why can't I be selfish? You sold off Selena for your selfish reasons too, so why can't I be selfish?” She yelled in anger.

George slapped her hard on her face, sending her to the ground in pains. “Yes, I'm selfish and I will show you how selfish I can be.”

He turned to Simon, “you can take her away and return my money.”

Elena rushed to her husband and knelt down, “please don't do this. She's our only daughter, please don't marry her off, please.”

Simon looked at the family, “are you sure George? Are you sure you won't regret this decision?”

“I just need my money”, George replied.

Simon smiled as he made a call, “come and get the girl.”

Ivy's eyes widened as three men walked in and dragged her away. She kicked the air furiously as she cried out. “Mum.. please help. Let go of me, you idiots, let go.”

George stood by and watched her being carried out. He immediately received a credit alert but the money brought no happiness to him. Elena ran behind the car as it drove off. She ran back to her husband and hit him, crying.

“Why are you so selfish, even with your own daughter? Why?”

He held his wife to comfort her, “we'll bring her back. I promise.”

Simon brought Ivy to his room in the hotel. Ivy's body shook as she thought of him sleeping with her. Her eyes widened as he sat down beside her.

“Why are you shaking so much? I just want to touch you.”

“No.. wait. I'm sure it's my sister you want, not me”, she said hastily.

He paused and looked at her, “what are you trying to say?”

Ivy calmed herself down as she spoke, “I can lure my sister out to this hotel for you and you can do whatever you want with her.”

Simon looked at her, suspicious. “How would you do that? You don't know where she is.”

“Yes, I don't know. But I have someone who can be of help. Just give me a week, I'll bring her to you.”

Simon looked at her in disbelief. “Why should I believe you?”

“I know how powerful you are, I can't mess with you. If I don't bring her to you in a week, you can take me instead.”

Simon saw the sincerity in her eyes and agreed, “a week.”

Ivy hurried to her boyfriend's house. If there's anyone that can figure out where Selena is, it's Liam, Selena's ex.

“Hey..”, she said as she saw Liam. She pecked him on his cheeks and sat down beside him.

He smiled as he saw her, “what's up?”

“I need you to do something for me, immediately.”

Liam sat up, “what is it? You sound desperate.”

“I am desperate”, Ivy said. “What I need you to do is urgent, very urgent.”

“What do you want me to do?”, he asked.

Selena sat by herself beside the pool, feeling the air softly blow against her. After the night she cooked for Lucas, she had not set her eyes on him, and it's been close to a week. She wanted to go out but she did not want anyone she knew or that knows her to see her, though she felt bored sitting around doing nothing.

Her phone suddenly rang, startling her. She looked and saw a strange number displayed on her screen. She ignored the call but picked it up when it rang again.

“Hello?”, she called out.

“Lena.”

Selena almost dropped her phone at the sound of that voice she had once adored.

“L…Liam? Is that you?”

“Yes, it's me”, he responded.

Selena closed her eyes as she remembered walking in to see her sister and her boyfriend on the bed together. “Why did you call?”

“I had to call, I missed you Lena. After you left, I realised how foolish I had been to cheat on you. I shouldn't have let you go, please forgive me.”

Different emotions swirled through Selena's heart at once, confusing her. “What do you want from me Liam? Why do you want me back?”

“I want to see you again Lena, I want to talk to you, I want you back more than anything else.” She could hear his voice cracking over the phone. She immediately thought of Lucas and her promise to him.

“I can't… we can't be together again. I can't see you again.”

“Just this one time, I promise. I just want to talk to you, if you still insist to go after that, I'll let you go. But please, let me see you. I'll send you the location and time, please come.” He cut the call after speaking.

Selena looked at her phone and saw the location he sent, it was the place they loved to go when they were together.

She sighed as she walked around in deep thoughts. She couldn't deny she felt a little hope in her when he said he needed her back, but she could not go because of Lucas.

But maybe she should just hear him out, and then she will tell him that they can't be together.

She quickly sent him a text message, “I'll be there.”
