The Good Fall
“Who am I??” I repeated after him, his voice gave me real joy, I would admit, he was still holding my wrist in the air.
“Are you the new maid from downstairs?” He asked.
“Uhn,” I softly murmured.
“You seemed taller when you came last week,” he threw my hand down and walked back to his closet full of expensive suits and shirts.
I looked confused, “maid?? Do I look like a maid??” I thought looking down at myself down from my heels to my gown and purse, those cost my monthly salary!!
“Did you drink or smoke before coming here or were you taught to touch your boss in such a manner, you are fired” he randomly picked a Shirt from his set and charmingly wore it.
“You a-re mis mis-taken… I’m n-ot the new Mai-“ I stammered as I watched him button his blue shirt. No one has ever told me I looked like a maid, I mean I thought I slayed my outfit.
“Leave here right now, I'm showing mercy that I didn’t call the cops and report your assault” he faced me and frowned, spraying different colognes, they smelt so good and would cost acres of land in Avanti.
“I’m not a maid,” I defended myself and frowned back at him. The angel from my dream seemed rude.
“Then who are you?”
“I was asked to come here by a robot downstairs, I seek Richard Dubois,” A smile played on my lips, I should not allow my future husband to see me frown on a first meeting, still wondering how the man from my dream got here, I’m sure he lived here, right in Richard’s mansion.
“I’m Richard, how may I be of help, Miss,”
“I didn’t hear that well, did I??” I blankly stared at him.
“Was I dreaming again?” I pinched myself, No, I wasn’t, I could feel the pain of my nails on my soft skin.
I was so amused, that I rushedly jumped on him, my legs curling his huge body, he was so tall and smelt so good, that drops of water from his wet hair fell on my forehead.
“You’ve got to be kidding me right?” I wailed and chuckled at the same time, hugging him tightly, my round big breast pressing against his chest, I hadn’t worn a bra. My instincts told me he felt my n****e against him.
“I’m going to marry the man from my dream,” I exclaimed excitedly. Comfortably resting in his abode and smiling.
“What the actual f**k woman??” He shouted and raised me from his body to the floor.
“Please don’t tell me you are the Kimberly Daveney my stepmother was talking about,” he sounded disappointed.
Maybe he wanted to see one of those celebrities, I felt bad.
“Yes, that's me,”
He tittered hearing that, more like he was mocking me.
“Then why didn’t you just come for your goddamn bridal selection to pick your heart's desire?” I shot back at him.
“My heart does not desire any of you, I am startled by my family’s choice,” he was so blunt
“Then why did you set up the marriage selection?” I requested.
“Number one rule, don’t question me,
Secondly, no physical contact, it seems you do that for a living, it inflames me,” he frowned and walked to the door I came through.
“Come downstairs,” he commanded.
I know I was surprised and exhilarated concerning my realization about the angel being my future husband, my heart was still beating fast
“Respect yourself, Kimberly, they might look the same but they are not the same, I mean, the man in my dream never for once complained of my touch in my dream” I warned myself, I never liked rich, rude people, they get on my nerves, One of the reasons I ditched my asshole ex.
Remembering his order, I followed him, coming down the stairs,
“Why did I not notice this beautiful parrot when I was coming?”
It was big and caged, followed by an astounding work of art, the paintings were unique and could show the personality of the owner. Uncompromising, complex, and well-off.
The flowers were nice too, I smiled looking at the exquisite view of the garden, I recognized the orchids and Daisy, they smelt good, I closed my eyes and took in the scents.
Before I knew it, I missed my step on the stairs and slipped.
“Oh my goodness,” I cried out, I was already falling off.
I looked down, the stairs were pretty long, if I rolled down it, I might not be able to work for days.
“Is this it??”
The wedding is in the next four days, it would not take these rich people two hours to look for another bride if I hurt my body. I thought as I almost reached the White tiles ahead of me, I could feel my hair losing from the delicate bun I tied.
“Lord please, I've come a long way to be ruined in this manner,” I prayed hoping for a miracle.
Immediately, I felt Richard’s big hand fill my back, I didn't expect it, he was so far from me, how fast did he run to get to where I was, to save me,
I couldn't believe I blushed at that, I smiled at him, his grip shifting from my back to my waist.
I could feel his eyes on me as I looked up.
“Thank you,” I whispered and bit my lower lips. He was so close to me that I could kiss him if I was not careful.
He was staring into my blue eyes, not blinking nor moving, and then his beautiful eyeballs went to my lips. Part of his hair fell on his forehead.
“Does he want to kiss me too?” my mind wondered, he looked so soft and hot, my God. My heart was unwittingly beating fast.
I slowly closed my eyes and heard a familiar voice that wasn't Richard’s.
“Hi Brother!!”
“Why does everything look and sound familiar here?” I pondered and looked sideways where the voice came from, Richard still holding my waist firmly.
“Charles??” I whispered as I saw the figure.
“What in God’s name is my ex doing here??”
