The country of Lind, it turns out, was more integral in the 250 Year War than Fasesian. As school children, we were all taught that Jal the Warlock was Fasesian but he was actually Lindian. The country was to the north of Miel and barely shared a border with Fasesia. It was only a quarter of the size of Miel and known mostly for its production of quartz, a stone used by all those who practiced magic seriously. Their royal family was known to have dismissed the practice of enlaces, favoring instead free couplings with whomever they pleased. Whichever coupling produced a child first was considered the next royal couple and that child the heir. All other children were married off for political gain or sent off in the service of Miel.
