Brielle and I joined Shelby and Sarah in my sitting room. Shelby was wearing her standard soft leather pants and a flowy dark green long-sleeved shirt. Her hair was pulled back into one long braid and she had on knee-high riding boots. Sarah wore a similarly colored dress with a white lace overlay. She too wore her hair in a braid and looked as if she could be Shelby’s sister. The door from my chamber to the hallway was open and I could see James standing in the doorway, hand resting on the hilt of his short sword.
