Her Magical Eyes

It was recess period and Jay decide to use the opportunity to familize himself in his new school environment.

Kim Lance was indeed a big school. It has lot of facilities to keep students interest alive. He walked around the school, seeing the different sports available and find something that interests him.

As he walk towards the multi purpose hall that was located at the extreme end, Jay heard the voice of people talking.

Jay went forward and to the back where he saw a group of boys. They were four and they were smoking. Jay stood and watched them until they saw him.

"What are you doing here?" Cameron, the leader of the boys asked. He crushed his almost finished cigarette under his combat boots.

Jay stood still and lock eyes with the first guy. He seem so cool and calm.

"Didn't I asked you a question?" Cameron asked again, he look at Jay in disbelief.

"Maybe he is deaf or mute", Another of the boys, Adolf said with a ridiculous laugh.

"Maybe he doesn't know who we are", Barry with a scornful expression.

"Yeah", Cameron walked calmly to Jay and seize him up. "I don't know why you are here but are you aware this is our territory and nobody dares to trespass".

"He won't listen to you, Cam, let deal with him". Darren suggested.

"He might be a new student here". Barry observed, actually he was baffled by the boy coolness. Who was he seeming so calm and collected?

"Who cares?" Adolf snapped.

"Listen, who ever you might be. I don't care to know, we are the ABCD g**g and we are ruthless with people who interfere in our lives. Now, listen, good, we don't want you telling on us. This should be our secret, whatever you have seen us doing remains here. Don't you dare say a word or try to act smart. Now, be a good boy and get lost". Cameron said and straighten Jay collar of shirt.

Jay shrugged Cameron hand away nonchalantly and shrugged. He straightened his skew-whiff glasses and walked away.

"Pammy, throw me the ball". Ruby called out to her teammate and caught the ball mid air. She dribble past the other team and succeed in scoring a goal.

"Wow!" Ruby gave Erika and Pammy a high five before going for the ball again. Ruby soon got the ball again and bounce it on the ground.

"Ruby, throw the ball". Jessica, another of her teammate holler and Ruby took the ball, raised it over her head and throw it.

Alas! it didn't reach it target as the ball flew out of the court and hit a passer by on the shoulder. Ruby groaned inwardly and wiped her sweaty face. She scuttle out to get the ball.

The orange-brown ball was on the hand of the person it hit. Ruby got to the person and reached for the ball.

"I'm really sorry, it's not intentional". Ruby apologize and recognize him immediately. It wasn't hard to remember the boy she meant at the grocery store wearing specs.

"Hi, I know you. We have meant before, isn't?" Ruby asked, quite astonished.

"Ruby, are you coming with the ball". Jessica yell from inside the court.

"Sorry, I gotta go". Ruby flashed him a smiled and bounce the ball along as she jog back to the court.

Jay stood looking around and glance back at his wristwatch. It was already 4:58pm and Brian was no where to be seen. He wished he has his bike and could cycle home.

The first day at a new school has been a long one for Jay. He has encounter with so many people and it has been hard so far but it wasn't bad. He was screamingly exhausted and needed a good and sound repose.

Jay hissed under his breath when he heard Brian hoot the car and walked towards it. He wasn't the least happy to have a ride with Brian. God knows he was the worst driver.

Jay got into the passenger seat and flung his backpack at the back seat before buckling his seatbelt. Brian was grinning like a fool and Jay felt irritated.

"So, how was the first day at school?" Brian asked as he took the car into the road.

"I don't want to talk about it", Jay told him with no interest.

"Really, you got no lucks with the babe?" Brian chortle loudly and Jay bite back a retort. He simply brought out his android phone and went into his gaming apps to keep himself busy.

"Yeah, don't worry. I can give you helpful tips on ways to get a girl". Brian continue and Jay was becoming exasperated.

"You won't listen to me?" Brian gave Jay a sideways glance and look back at the road.

"Naw, could you please concentrate on your driving and lemme have a quiet time". Jay returned.

"Chill Guy, chill, you are way too cold". Brian smirked and hummed a song under his breath.

Jay look outside of the window and thought about the boy he meant behind the school hall and that girl with magical eyes.

He knew the likes of the boys, they were the ones that use violence to get whatever they want and the girl was a complete contract. She seems so innocent and like a typical chatter box. She has this cheery attitude and he liked it. She was a likeable and soft spoken person with an easy smile.
