AVA'S POV
For some reason, hearing Kade ask my boss to get to the real reason for the meeting made my heart skip a beat. I had no idea what that meant. I thought Jim had already been talking about the main purpose of the meeting. So, what exactly did Kade mean?
I sat and watched as my boss walked over to the desk and picked up a stack of files. He scanned through them, seemingly double-checking everything. Confused, I turned to Kade again. He looked bored, his eyes remaining fixed on Jim.
"So, we've already signed all the documents. Your team is the only one left to sign," Jim said as he walked over and handed Kade the files.
Without a word, Kade picked up a pen from the desk and signed each page. I continued watching in shock, wondering what the hell was going on.
