“And why are you here?” Tiana, Kade's secretary, asked, eyeing me warily.
I took a deep breath and exhaled. “I'd like to see Mr. Whitmore, please.”
She scoffed and turned back to her computer, ignoring me. I glanced at my wristwatch and frowned. I didn't have much time to waste here.
After receiving that very surprising text from Kade, I'd showered and gotten ready in record time before rushing here so I could see him before going to work. And now, just when I was desperately trying to meet with him, I had to deal with his secretary again. I could tell she disliked me from the way she always spoke to me whenever I came by.
