AVA'S POV
I was probably overthinking. I was sure of it because the lady who had been holding the tablet for the past two minutes was still waiting patiently for me to finally choose what gender I wanted the service worker to be.
I shouldn't have felt so hesitant, but I did. My heart was beating erratically, and my palms were growing sweaty as I tried to steady my breathing. I wasn't bold enough to choose a man to actually…
The tablet in front of me dinged, and the lady pulled it toward herself, glancing at whatever had appeared on the screen.
“Oh, sorry, ma'am. I just got notified that all the female attendants are fully booked. We only have the men available,” she informed me.
I gasped, suddenly feeling overwhelmed. “Are you sure? There isn't a single female available?”
She nodded apologetically. “Yes, ma'am. Sorry for the inconvenience. It seems to be a busy night.”
I wanted to believe she was joking and waited for her to reveal the truth, but she wasn't. I leaned back into the booth and clutched my chest, my heart rate speeding up. Now that my options had been limited, I should have felt relieved that the decision had been made easier.
My thoughts started spiraling, and reluctance crept in, but I quickly shook my head and looked back at the worker. “Okay, then. I'll pick a male attendant.”
She nodded as she typed away on the tablet. “Noted, ma'am. We'll have someone attend to you shortly.”
As she walked away, I found myself lost in thought. Liam's betrayal had hit me hard, and I could still feel the heaviness in my chest. The last time I was here, I'd refrained from using any service provider out of loyalty to him. But now, his betrayal and the humiliation he put me through cut deeper than any reluctance I felt. And as if breaking my heart wasn't enough, he'd had Ariana mock me right after sending the breakup text.
I didn't deserve any of that. And tonight, I wasn't going to hold myself back. I was about to pull my phone from my purse and distract myself with it when I heard steady footsteps approaching. I looked up just as a man stopped in front of me.
The moment my eyes met his, my lips parted in disbelief. His eyes were piercing, their intensity making me swallow nervously. But it wasn't just his eyes that caught me off guard. It was the subtle yet striking resemblance to Liam. Similar, yet completely different. The sight reminded me of the first day I'd come to the club, when I'd bumped into a man who looked remarkably like him. I'd completely forgotten about that encounter, but looking at the man standing before me now, I was certain.
So he was the one who would be attending to me. The resemblance only doubled my resentment toward Liam, and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat.
He looked like he was about to speak, but I beat him to it. “Is it mandatory that we... you know, stay here for the service?” I asked, glancing around at the other booths and grimacing at the people openly indulging themselves without a care in the world.
I shook my head before speaking again. “Isn't there somewhere we can go if we want more privacy?”
A small smirk appeared on his lips before he brushed a hand across his chin. “The booths have privacy screens. Would you prefer that?” he asked calmly.
I bit my lip, trying to ignore how smooth his voice sounded. “Yes, that would be better.”
Without another word, he sat beside me, his cologne drifting into my senses. Swiftly, he pressed a button beneath the booth, and a black screen rose upward, shielding us from everyone else's view and blocking them from ours. Calmly, he wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer until our faces were only a breath apart.
“I... I haven't been here before, so... I don't really know what to do,” I whispered hesitantly.
A faint smile tugged at his lips.
“That's why I'm here,” he said softly, and before I could register his words, his lips crashed into mine.
I gasped at the action and opened my lips just as he dipped his tongue. I didn't know if it was my broken heart, my anger or the fact that I'd been starved of physical touch for so long, but I wrapped my hands around his neck and kissed him back passionately.
His hands moved to my hips and then my thighs as he dragged my dress upwards and caressed my legs. I moaned into his lips the moment I felt his hand going higher, my heart beating erratically in anticipation. Heat creped up between my legs, a sudden pressure building up as his hands moved everywhere.
He smelled good, too good. And for some reason, the way he stayed focused as he relentlessly touched me made me lose control. The heat between my legs grew unbearable, prompting me to grind my wetness on his legs. As he pulled up my dress till it was higher and grabbed my backside, I unbuttoned his shirt and ran my hands all over his chest, marveling at how chiseled and muscular he was.
We pulled apart to catch our breath, and my cheeks warmed as he leaned back against the booth, studying my face. Slowly, his grip on my ass loosened, and then he slipped his hands under my underwear. He paused, then searched my face. “Can I?” he asked, his voice now rough and raspy.
I didn't think twice. “Y—Yes...” He removed it before I could finish my sentence. Then he took off his shirt and helped me out of my dress. Somewhere between laying me down and pulling off the rest of his clothes, he ended up on top of me. I shivered the moment his skin came down unto mine, but nothing prepared me for how he pressed wet, sloppy kisses all over my body, touching me everywhere and slipping a finger in between my legs.
“So wet,” he whispered and then ran his hands over my sensitive spot. Hissing, I wrapped my legs over him, as my eyes widened at the intensity of his touch.
The man pulled back to grab a condom from one of the kits beside the booth, then he tore it open and put it on. I was so dazed by the sight of him that before I could fully process what was happening, his body came back down on mine, and he pressed his tip into me. Slowly, he eased himself in, and I released a moan, rubbing his back and pushing myself further into him.
My eyes rolled back into my head as the sensation overwhelmed me. And just like that, Liam was the least of my thoughts.
