AVA'S POV Kade had to be the best actor in the world because, at some point, he almost fooled me. He touched me throughout dinner and whispered things into my ear. Things I can't even remember now because I'd been too stunned to focus. I played along the entire time, and at some point, I started to wonder if I was even pretending anymore. His touch had put me on edge, my whole body anticipating the next time his fingers brushed against me. And they did, every other second.
