AVA'S POV
I didn't want to think about it… But I found it being the only thing I could think about as I stepped into my office and walked over to my desk. I let out a deep breath, my hands almost shaking as I held the desk for support and weakly sat down on my chair.
The picture had unsettled me. It unsettled me so much that I'd just stood there, weak and sad as I stared at the image of him locking lips with the woman. Her face was hidden, but it didn't stop the wave of insecurities that flooded my mind. Hands still shaking, I rubbed my temples, trying to ease off the headache that had started abruptly. I couldn't understand what I felt, but I know it hurts a lot. Too much. It was almost like I was never enough. Like I was lacking in some way… I probably was.
