On Planet Velora, chaos consumed the whole planet. A young woman and man ran through chaos. The woman was holding a small baby carefully. The woman and man ran through the crowd of people standing in lines for the transport pods. Once the woman and man got to the transportation pod, the woman sniffled as tears welled up in her eyes. The woman carefully placed her small newborn baby inside the transportation pod.
???: "oh.. Miri, mama and papa love you so dearly. Please be safe."
The young woman whispered shakily yet softly. The young woman and man leaned down and kissed the baby gently on the forehead before placing a magic blanket and spell book inside the transportation pod before it closed. The young woman sobbed as the man held her closely, comforting her before the transportation pod shot away from Velora. Suddenly, Velora exploded. The transportation pod flew into space while the baby inside whined.
A week later
The transportation pod crashed into Earth's grassy ground, creating a large crater in the ground, yet everything inside remained secure and stable. The baby began wailing and crying loudly. From a distance, a horse galloping could be heard, then it stopped a few feet away from the crater. A young man hopped off the horse's saddle. He stared in disbelief at the size of the crater, then quickly snapped out of the trance of disbelief once he heard the baby crying. The young man climbed into the crater and looked at the baby.
??? "What in the hell ..?"
He muttered in astonishment and slowly took his hat off. He then attempted to pick up the transportation pod, yet it was so unbelievably heavy. After minutes of trying to pick up the transportation pod, he took a deep breath before spotting a button.
???: "Well, f**k me .."
He groaned before pressing the button, causing the transportation pod to open slowly, mist leaked out before the baby was shown fully wrapped in the blanket while holding the spell book. His eyes widened, the baby's eyes fluttered open and locked onto his. The man and the baby stared at each other for what felt like forever before the man muttered.
???: "Where did you come from ?"
The man slowly lifted the baby up, cradling her while picking up the spell book, skimming through it in absolute disbelief. He strapped the baby to his chest gently and carefully before mounting his horse and galloping away.
30 minutes later
A country house came into view. A cozy house sits at the end of a dirt or gravel road, surrounded by fields, fences, and old trees. The paint may be slightly weathered, but the home feels warm and welcoming. A wide porch wraps around the front, with rocking chairs, hanging flower baskets, and muddy boots by the door. Nearby, a red barn stands against the horizon, while horses graze in fenced pastures. Wildflowers grow along the roadside, and the air smells like fresh hay, earth, wood, and rain. A barn and farm was positioned next to the home. Louis guided the horse into its stable before dismounting, exiting the stable and locking it close. Louis then began exiting the barn and making his way to the country home, cradling the brown baby to his chest. Suddenly, a beautiful woman opened the front door and exited the country home. The woman's eyes landed on Louis. She began to smile until she saw the little brown baby he was holding. The woman froze, her eyes widened with shock. The shock quickly turned into anger and confusion as she stormed towards him. The woman began shoving Louis angrily while shouting and accusing.
???: "What the hell is that, Louis ? You cheating on me ?! With a brown woman of all things ?! How could you do this to me ?? You got me lookin' foolish, and that's the one thing I won't tolerate !!"
Louis protected the baby from the woman's angry shoving.
Louis: "Jade !! I haven't cheated on you !! I never will … I love and respect you too much to do that too."
Louis stated while grabbing her wrists gently to stop her from shoving him or possibly hurting the baby also. Jade snatched her wrists away, she crossed her arms, tears shining in her eyes, which made Louis frown softly.
Jade: "Tell me the truth for once. Am I the only woman you're lovin' ? I may live in the country, but that doesn't mean I'm blind."
Louis: "I found her out on the field … In a little ship or somethin'. She had a little book and a blanket with her too."
Jade: "She sure does look outta this damn planet ... but that makes no damn sense."
Louis: "I know … But there's just something so astonishing and surreal about it …"
Jade sighed and glanced down at the baby, her eyes softened before she scoffed.
Jade: "Fine, but if you did cheat on me with a black woman, I would kill you, 'Blackthorn Wolf'"
Jade used his title that the town they lived in called him more like a threat before she turned and walked towards the farm to deal with more farm work. Louis sighed and glanced down at the little brown baby before walking into the country home. It was your average country home. A cozy house sat at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by fields, fences, and old trees. The paint is slightly weathered, but the home felt warm and welcoming. A wide porch wrapped around the front, with rocking chairs, hanging flower baskets, and muddy boots by the door. Nearby, the red barn stood against the horizon, while horses grazed in fenced pastures. Wildflowers grew along the roadside, and the air smelled like fresh hay, earth, wood, and rain. Louis walked into the house. He laid the baby down on the couch on her back and walked away for a moment to get her some milk. When he returned, the baby was floating with a purple aura shining around her. Louis stared, his mouth agape.
Louis: "LORD, HAVE MERCY !! HEY, GET DOWN FROM THERE, BABY GIRL !!"
Louis shouted in fright and awe. The baby floated around giggled while the spell book floated with her, the pages flipping rapidly. Jade ran into the house after hearing Louis shout, she glanced up at the baby floating and gasped.
Jade: "Why the hell is that little devil f*****g flying ?!"
Louis: "I don't know why !!"
Louis yelled and climbed on the couch to try and catch her, but instead, something else caught his eye. The book's pages stopped flipping and landed on a certain page, a name, in big bolded letters. Vaelzara Nocturne . Suddenly, the book fell, and the baby began falling, but Louis quickly dove caught her and the book. Louis tumbled but managed to keep the baby and the spell book unharmed and safe, while the baby babbled playfully.
Louis: "Vaelzara Nocturne .."
He muttered softly, staring at the baby and the spell book in awe. Jade began to blink rapidly before shaking her head.
Jade: "What ? What in the hell are you talking about ??"
Jade exclaimed in confusion. Louis turned to Jade and whispered quietly in awe.
Louis: "Her name .. Her name is Vaelzara Nocturne. Well, that's what the book said."
Louis stood up and grinned widely at Vaelzara, rubbing her head. He rocked and bounced Vaelzara gently, causing her to giggle and babble. Jade sighed and facepalmed, walking outside, back to the farm. Vaelzara reached up with her little hands and pressed him gently against his nose. Louis smiled gently and chuckled softly. He had always wanted to be a father and now was the perfect time to show that he was ready and capable.
For the next 5 years, Louis and Jade raised Vaelzara as if she was their own flesh and blood. Vaelzara didn't have any friends or people she liked because Louis and Jade kept her in the house because they knew everyone would've stayed away from her since she was a brown girl; the only people she did like were Louis and Jade. Also, in those 5 years, Jade had realized that she was ready to have a kid with Louis, especially since she'd seen how gentle and loving Louis had been with Vaelzara. They had a son. They named him Levi. One day, Vaelzara found her spell book while Louis and Jade were away. She flipped through the pages until she saw a certain spell, a portal opening spell. She began to mutter the spell.
Vaelzara: "Aetheria Celestum, Porta Eternis..."
Vaelzara muttered the spell fluently though it wasn't the common tongue she learned growing up while being raised by Louis and Jade. Suddenly, Vaelzara's eyes and the palms of her hands began to glow purple. The portal slowly evolved, its edges twisting and stretching as the surrounding air screamed. A tear split across the world. The portal widened. And beyond it… was another sky. Not another land. Another sky, one she's never seen before. She stared through the opening, unable to breathe. Wonder and fear tangled in her chest. Massive floating islands drifted through clouds painted in shades of gold, violet, and deep crimson. Waterfalls poured from the edges of the islands, disappearing into an endless sea of stars below. Above them hung three enormous moons. One was silver. One was black. One appeared cracked, glowing from within as though molten light was trapped beneath its surface. Ancient ruins floated among the islands. Giant stone bridges stretched between them, broken by time and overgrown with glowing flowers taller than a person. Strange creatures soared overhead. Some resembled dragons. Others looked like birds made entirely of starlight. The world was breathtaking. Then she noticed the shadows. Every island cast one. But the shadows weren't beneath them. The shadows moved on their own. Vaelzara's eyes lit up, she smiled widely before reaching her little hand inside the portal. The moment her little hand went through the portal, she felt the cold air against her palm. She was about to step through the portal before a strong hand grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. It was Louis.
Louis: "What the hell are you doing, baby girl ?!"
Louis shouted, horrified because he had just seen Vaelzara most likely almost die if she went through that portal at her age and size. Louis had also just got home about a minute before he caught her about to go through that portal. His shouting startled Vaelzara, she flinched and tears welled up in her eyes. Vaelzara began to cry and wail. Louis immediately regretted shouting at her like that. He closed the book quickly, which caused the portal to close as well. Louis pulled Vaelzara into his arms and held her against his chest and picked her up, hugging her gently and comforting her softly. He mentally made a note to himself to never tell Jade.
After that little incident, Louis hid the spell book somewhere in the house, where no one could possibly find it. A few years later, Louis and Jade began bringing Vaelzara out of the house. People, at first, thought that maybe she was their slave, but they passively aggressively corrected them and told them that she was our daughter. Even though everyone knew that Vaelzara was the Blackthorn Wolf and The Heart of the Frontier's daughter, that didn't stop them from being disgusted and hostile. The kids would bully her, she'd always come home crying, but their son, Levi, would always stick up and go out with Vaelzara though he was younger. Then one day, Levi didn't go out because he was sick. A kid pushed her onto the ground and held her down as the other kids circled around them. Vaelzara began to kick and scream, trying to get the kid off of her, but they were so much bigger than her. That was when her palms began to glow purple and the kid was sent flying into a tree. Vaelzara scrambled to her feet and wide-eyed stared in fright at the unconscious kid she sent flying into the tree. The surrounding kids froze, staring at her and the unconscious kid in fright and shock.
