After that embarrassing moment with Cain, I jumped right into the task he gave me. I was so focused on filling out the documents I didn't even notice when Cain left.
It was only when I got to the address part did I finally look up from the computer. I wanted to ask Cain if it was okay for me to put his parents' address, but he was nowhere to be seen. I decided to skip it for now and fill out what I could.
Despite how hard I tried to focus again, I couldn't.
Even though Cain and I barely knew each other and had hardly spoken, a part of me was missing him. I know it sounds crazy to miss someone I barely know, even though I think I sound crazy.
