A black Lincoln town car arrived at an elegant home in the hills of Montecito. Francesca, after many months of healing and physical therapy was released and transported in opulent fashion to her new life. It appeared as if she was entering a Sorrentine villa somewhere on the Amalfi coast in southern Italy. Although she had never been to Italy, she remembered the Life magazine photos she perused at Temecula Valley hospital. The mansion's Italianate style of architecture brought forth vague memories of a movie she once saw with Grace Kelly as the leading actress. It was beautiful and magical. She was nervous and excited.
