ELIAS’ POV The blade froze mid-air, its sharp point only lightly grazing the hunter’s skin. I watched a bead of blood form at the tip of the blade where it had licked the hunter’s skin before rolling down the side of her pale neck. My whole body was tense as I watched that drop of blood trickle down. Had I caught Eliza even a second later, then the hunter would be dead. My grasp on Eliza’s wrist tightened and she let out a cry before the sharp clatter of metal hitting stone rang in the dungeon as she released the blade. ‘’Are you mad, Eliza?’’ I yelled, yanking her away from the hunter. ‘’No, you’re the one who’s gone mad!’’ She screamed back at me as she struggled to free her wrist. ‘’You’re the one protecting a hunter!
