Kaida POV When the bonding was over and done with, I excused myself from the tent, despite the protesting glares Irene was sending my way. I could tell there was a mountain of things she wanted to discuss, but I was just too worn and tired to deal with it at the moment. I ventured around the camp, in search of somewhere quiet and discreet to lay my head down. The world felt as if it was spinning all around me, trying to toss me to the ground as I fought to keep my balance. When I heard the sound of footsteps nearing, I ducked into the woods. I couldn’t let others see me in such a weakened state. I grasped at the trees for support as I staggered further into the woods. I had made it a decent way in, when my foot got snagged on an out of place tree root, causing me to lose my footing
