“Rían!” his father said, pulling him up from the floor. “Where have you been? There’s something wrong with your Sharon.”
Ryan was already moving but he faltered at the name Tanner used. Then he pushed it aside as he saw the straps holding Claire down. He rounded on his father.
“I asked you to keep her safe, not tie her to the f*****g bed!”
His father sighed and wiped a hand over his face. Rían, see what we saw. He gave Ryan the memories of Claire terrified and hysterical as she thrashed on the bed, screaming.
Needing her in his arms, he used his magic to remove the straps and climbed onto the bed, pulling her into his lap, nudging aside the glorious curls he never would have imagined for her to kiss her temple.
