Chapter Two: Into The Tutorial Familiar, such a familiar system display panel. It was light blue, the panel background was filled with runic icons from the game as a gesture to show how original the game was. In the panel, it was filled with a total of 18 hex-key holes. Each and everyone eighteen hex-key holes signifies a new potential trillionaire. His eyes twitched and widened, he knew that the dream was real because he had not entered the game before and hence the familiar scene could not be completely replicated. He was not deceiving himself of a false future. He truly dreamed of the future and saw it for himself, a path that he had already walked. Now, he only needs to walk the same path. One has to know his dream of this before, so he was familiar with the game's content. The runic panel said everything. It was one of the things that he saw in his dream and he had almost been the fourth person to be a trillionaire. Maybe fate was playing on him, a destroyed family and a hopeful new family. Coming back to himself, he slowly formulates a path for his future. He was not in a hurry to create his game character, so he quietly contemplated it. Would it be better to follow the same path or to change himself for the better? It was not until a one-half hour later did he get a rough outline of his future. Finally, he moves on to creating his character after letting out a calm sigh. After a few moments, his game character finally has a different look from his own. Except, he gave himself a new haircut. Long hair like his does not match him, said one of his buddies. Well, that buddy of his was one of the very few friends that he remembers making in his dream. He made his hair back and sides short. Overall, he had a fresh new outlook on himself. His eyes became crystal clear. He wants to make a better first impression of himself when they both meet again. Even though it would be in a different situation, at a different time, and in a different place. Moving on, he finally got to see his familiar status screen. [Status] Name: Extremity Race: Human Lvl: 1 XP: 0/100% Hp: 50 Mp: 50 Str 5 Mag 5 Spd 5 Skl 5 Def 5 Res 5 Vit 5 [1 Hidden Status Granted] (Please choose one hidden status below.) >Luck 5 >Endurance 5 >Muscular Enhancement 5 [35SP (Status Point)] Nodding his head, he already knew that every player was granted a hidden status and thirty-five status points at the beginning of the game. However, the most important thing to take note of was that the thirty-five status points can be allocated to the hidden status. Many players do not know about it in the first place, which is why it is important right now to assign the points to the hidden status. This is especially very important later in the game where every additional hidden status will bridge or completely change a situation. Also, no status points gained in the future will be able to be allocated to any hidden status again. As for how useful a hidden status is in the beginning. It will be dependent on whether or not a player becomes the average player or the elite player. For the three hidden states, all hidden status is self-explanatory and very beneficial. Luck improves item drop rate (rate drops), skill improvement rates (lucky enlightenment), and lucky hits, and is extremely versatile if it is activated. For example, the luck stat of thirty-five points is the most effective on a level thirty-five player or lower. The lower the levels compare to the points in luck, the higher the effectiveness. However, if the levels are much higher than luck, the less effective it was. Endurance improves to a flat plus fifty health points plus five mana points for each endurance point (+50 HP & +5MP), which compares to the average vitality status, which only grants plus ten health points per point in vitality (+10 HP). For example, thirty-five points in Endurance will net a total of 1,750 points of health and one hundred seventy-five points of mana. As for the last hidden status, muscular enhancement, it is truly the game-changer. Each point will increase flat points for strength, speed, skill, and vitality by however many points are in the hidden status. By definition, thirty-five points in muscular enhancement means plus thirty-five strength, plus thirty-five speed, plus thirty-five skill, and finally, plus thirty-five vitality (+35 Str, +35 Spd, +35 Skl, +35 Vit). To be fair, every point in a hidden status signifies the equivalent of a level. Depending on the very first chosen hidden status, every player's game style is different. For example, luck is versatile early but becomes very inefficient later if the levels are higher than the status points in luck. Endurance is very beneficial for a tank. Finally, muscular enhancement is the best for a warrior early on. However, among the three choices. John had already decided which hidden status worked best for him. He did not hesitate to choose luck. He had only one reason for choosing luck, the tutorial. In total, he had forty points in the luck stat. This should be able to last him for the first fifty levels. The tutorial was not a normal tutorial-like any other game. The tutorial setting was set on the ancient battlefield of an old god. It was a place filled with all kinds of races battling for supremacy and it could only be accessed once per character. As well as the fact that it could only be accessed only during the tutorial. [Tutorial is initiating...] [Please standby...] [Welcome User 'Extremity' to the Ancient Battlefield of Old God.] [Please choose your given role...] >Foot Soldier (Common, Massive possible growth) >King (Kinsman's territory, possible growth) >Tamar, The Tamer (Legendary, no more growth) Looking at the options, the role of a foot soldier can easily climb up the hierarchy. Which can make the foot soldier into a monstrosity later during the tutorial. While a king already had its territory, its growth for the tutorial is much slower. As for being a character called Tamar, it's a tough call since he will no longer grow during the tutorial. So, whatever levels, powers, and tamed monsters the original character was given will never change throughout the tutorial. Unless a miracle happens. Out of the three options, he eliminated the king's option. Now, there are only two options left. After a few minutes of consideration, he finally decided to risk it. A legendary tamer will have some beneficiary scores already. [Tamar, The Tamer has been chosen.] [As a legendary tamer, you, as the player, will be able to control Tamar and all his choices. Be mindful of your choices, it will have some impact on your future game scores. However, due to your high luck. Tamar will automatically gain some upgrades and his potential growth will not restrict you to a certain level.] [Tamar base level is increased by 20%, Base Level 2000 -> 2400 (Max at 3000)] [Tame monsters: Black Dragon (Ancient Black Dragon Level 2000), Longevity Serpentine (Immortal Serpentine Level 1900), Raging Ape (Azure Blazing Ape Level 1500), Phoenix (White Phoenix Level 2000)] [Tamar Main Mission: Due to the use of an extremely powerfully taming technique. He had used up all his future potential, just, for one thing, for revenge. Now that he is at the very limit of his remaining potential. Go and destroy Kalamar's Territory (Req: Level 3500 Challenge) within the given time limits, 10 in-game days or one hour per in-game tutorial day.] The taste of the luck effect was extremely delightful. However, the main mission requirements are higher than possible levels. It was a mission set for failure. However, it is not impossible for a gang of three thousand levels. Thus, end chapter two.
