Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight: A Coincidence or Not? Over on the west wing of the fort-in-ruins came a comical duo. A man in his beginner clothing with a basic sword and a small-child-like skeleton holding on to a rusty spear. From the perspective of others, the father was holding a small prick, and the son holding a long stick. The two look comical since the scene of the man and skeleton look like a pair of father and son. However, that does not add up as well as the fact that one is human and the other is just bones. The duos were Extremity and Boris. Both just got out of the west wing of the fort. He turned around to the fort and said, "Boris, this is where you should say your goodbyes." Boris acted the same before waving his bony hands and gathering all of the death aurae around the fort. By the time he is done, the fort had fallen into ruins and the skeleton soldiers became dust. [>Bones Summon (Passive): This allows the user to summon bone skeletons. Unit level limit: user's level. Summons limit: user's level. Active: 100 Mp.] [Death Aura (5): This allows the user to grow stronger by gathering death aura. All base status increases by one for every point in death aura.] He had a suspicion and it was confirmed. During the scenario, he had encountered Boris Hawk and had made a contract with him, but he was not as strong as he was now. It seems that over the years, Boris Hawk has been a lot stronger than a normal undead by many notches. Even if he let Boris fight against a level ten bone skeleton, Boris has enough health to completely chip down the bone skeleton. Now with the skills, Boris has already become much stronger than before. Even though he was surprised by the outcome, he was not bothered. This will be one of the normal things during a situation like this. An extremely intelligent bone skeleton that seems to be sealed for so long will automatically become stronger with every breakthrough. Sealing does not only just trap certain monsters, but it also prevents the monsters from getting stronger. Most seals operate like that, but sealed monsters are rarely encountered. Whistling at the fallen fort, he made his way back to the village with Boris following behind. The journey back was uneventful. During the many encounters, all of the experience goes to Boris for killing all of the monsters along the way. Which allowed Boris to level up steadily (Level 5). Now, Boris can easily summon five additional level five bone skeletons to help, which speeds up the way back to the village. Since he has not gotten the class skill that allows him to siphon fifty percent of the experience he gained from his tame monster yet. He gains no experience from his tame monsters when they gain any sort of experience. Likewise, Boris had gotten all of the experience on the way back to the village. The moment he was at the gate, he finally found out how crowded it was. Many players were going in and out of the gate, some players even stayed outside of the gate selling materials to the surrounding players. Every player is desperate for gold. The most important element of this game was that gold does not drop from any monsters. Monsters only drop materials and equipment, so a player either earns gold by selling materials from monster drops or they can go find a gold mine. The most important thing is that gold is the only currency of the game. To quickly develop, having gold is a must. However, he did not care to bargain with those noobs who were selling the same materials, such as bones. He made his way while pulling many attractions from the onlookers as he made his way through the gate. He was with five bone skeletons. Any player nearby would whisper and talk quietly about the bone skeleton following him. Many players were suspicious that it was a hidden class, some were spectating, some ignored it, while some thought that he was a non-playable character, and some players thought that this was a cut-scene to some epic event in the beginning village. However, it was just him, Boris, and Boris' summons. He went to the general store in the village to sell off his loot. The one hundred and forty-five bones (other bones included) were sold for dirt cheap. He only managed to bargain the bones for fifty-five gold coins. He gains another thirty-two gold coins for the rabbit meats. Meat in the village is more valued when sold than in a town. Most towns do not care about rabbit meat, since there are other types of meat that could be replaced. Hence, meats are expensive in a village and can be sold for more. As for the soul cores (bone skeleton + skeleton soldier x4), he has no such plan for selling them. The quality of the soul cores may seem low, but their usage is extremely versatile. It is also an important item when it comes to embedding them to make a piece of a set of equipment. However, that is not the only way of using it. Boris can also absorb the death aura of the soul cores to become stronger, but he did not do it because he did not have the skill to siphon experiences from his tame monster yet. So using it will be a waste of experience and soul core. He then made his way to the only teleportation portal in the center of the village. He had to pay ten golds for a quick transfer to the nearby town. It only took him a split second for him and Boris to be in the town closest to the un-death village. The town was called Five Spirit Town. The reason why it was called so was that many low-level elemental spirits could be contracted by shamans and elemental mages, which is a good start for such classes. However, it was practically useless for most classes except for becoming experienced. Since he had made it out of the beginning village, he deemed that he should get something to eat before progressing some more during the evening. So he decided to log out. He pressed the yes button and a ten-second countdown appeared on his screen. During the ten seconds, a player can still observe the game world around him or her. It was at this time that he finally saw an extremely familiar figure. The figure was a female walking in the garb of a warrior. She was someone who he would not forget because she was his long-awaited wife. The meeting was brief, but before he could call out to her, he was already logged out of the game. Thus, end chapter eight.
