Taking carlos

Dr Ian Richards and Dr Amber Stevens were very ambitious Scientist and they had dedicated there lives to there work. There vision was to make a world a safe and better place, they lived and breathed science, some would say science was there life. The time when the two met, they were both young and new to the science world, there passion was so pure in the beginning, they worked on finding cures by making medicine fron plants they could find and test on. They had no social life outside there work, only time they had was spent in them working or doing a research on a cure or drug. They worked very closely together with eachother, which only lead them to become more then just friends and could easily find comfort in eachother. From just workmates they became friends, and soon there relationship had grown to more then just workmate. The good part was they had time for eachother when they were not occupied or when work was not loaded. They never went out on any special dates or outing most of there adventures and date where work related, that really worked with them and so it was easy for them to be together. They loved solving world problems and discovering new ways to cure diseases and illnesses that were effecting every day to day lives. They were very work orientated and everything they did in the name of science, they did with all there hearts and souls. They started small with plants they could find and tested them with different chemicals , later they grew passionate about discovering and experimenting on different living animals and plants, there work was what brought them together. They did not even love eachother but just thought they would be good together, cause of they both enjoyed spending time working on a researches, and they had alot of things they liked in common. And the most important thing they believed in was that non of them would get attached to the other cause there career and work came first. When they decided to get married it was just for show, so people around them would not ask questions about the relationship status or personal life, but they had no intentions of starting a family or believe they would be one. For them it was as long as the other person, knew there place they were fine.

Anna just happened to come along, she was a mistake that should have never happened, according to Dr Amber. But she couldn't do much about the situation but to just accept she was pregnant and was going to be a mother. So she seat her husband down and told him she was pregnant and they where going have a child but that should not stop her or them from achieving there goals, there work still had to came first.To her disappointment her husband was thrilled and excited about the news,he hugged her and kissed her chick, and told her that he had always wanted to have a child and be a father, but his work prevented him from having the thought of having one, but this was great news . His wife was suggested other options, thinking he did not want to be a father, but he said he was okay with them having a baby, they would be a family. She disagreed with him and they were not ready to start a family or have a child , they was so much for them to do and discover and a child will only draw them back, and with everything she read and had seen about pregnant women, she will not function or work properly as her pregnancy get bigger, her husband warned her to go through with what wanted to do and as well as not do anything that would endanger his child. He knew his wife hated children or the idea of a family. Reason they thought they would be good together and be a strong power couple focused and driven by there work . A child was something thats was not in both there picture.

Dr Amber was a career driven woman, she hated the idea of been a mom and let along she was having a baby, a little child who would need attention and care that she could not give. And the pregnancy hormones she wasnt looking upto, she thought if it wasnt for her husband, Anna would have never been born. He pushed her to keep the pregnancy, he watched and threatened to ruin her if anything happened to there child. What he did not know was that , his wife had invented a hormone drug that would suppress who those side effects that came with her been pregnant, she hated the morning sicknesses, the feeling tired and sleepy and been nauseated by certain smells, people at her office tnought she took the pregnancy well and handled it well, no one but herself knew what she was doing. She had managed to suppress them all hormones but she made sure the drug would not harm her pr the baby cause her husband would know if something happened to there inborn baby at that time. He would say to his wife, that a child is what they needed to sell out the image of a happy family when they travel to different states to provide medical health services or research in that area . So made sure his wife took care of their child and made sure she had someone looking after there child cause his wife was incapable of rising a child. Dr Amber knew her pregnancy will slow her down, so once in a while she would a hormonal boaster drug, she had created specifically to help her stay strong and endure the cravings and other effects that come with her hormonal changes, stay really helped her through her time of pregnancy.

She always thought that a child would draw them back from there work cause they were already committed to there work and there work and projects came before anything or anyone else and she was not going to let her child ruin her career or dreams . They both were not close to families due to the work, they lived in there laboratory. At first it was just normal medical researchs and projects, they would work on a drug and test it on animals. They wanted to make a drug that would give people long healthy lives and good immunity. As they worked on various types of animals and plants , they began to combine and alter the genetic DNA of different animal genetic genes to see how the animals will adapt to change of what was introduced to its DNA, some dead and others lived. And there research was getting more better, they had a number of hybrid animals. They had thought of trying there research on humans but who would agree to volunteer to such. After a working on animals, there government showed an interest in their project and offered to provide them with a facility for them to work on there drug for administering to humans and they promised to provide test subjects. First it was soldiers who had been injured in the line of duty, with hope of having a chance to serve again. They were about 30 of them who died one after another and there research was still not getting better. They needed to work more normal healthy and unharmed subjects within the ages of 16 to 25 and males candidates. That's what got them, to were they were now, combing human genes with animal ones. And there daughter was older and ambitious woman. They kept her in check with nannies and school work, made sure she had everything they thought children would want and would check on her a after a day to see if she was okay. Anna grow up like that and they were okay with her been home reading and having classes, cause they wanted her to always be focused on her life. That all changed when Anna started associating with the locals and she started hanging out with one of the local boys . They always wanted what was best for there daughter, and always thought if she got distracted, she would lose focus of her vision in life. And they tries to stop her from going out but she would sneak or go out when she thought they would not know, they had people following her and to see and take pictures of what she was doing and where she would go. And when there candidates kept dying they had an idea of how to get read of Anna's new found friend. They would bring get him here to be experimented on for there project. They hated Carlos only because he become friends with there daughter. They had never seen there Anna with so much life and passion when she would tell them stories of her recent discoveries, they would listen and act like they where thrilled with that but they where were not. Every candidate they had was random picked, according to how they guys who where getting them caught them , some where just stray drug abuse victims , whom even if they where taken no one would even look for them. Next where people they caught moving at night any male fitting the description, according to the specifications on the list given. But Carlos was chosen by the two doctors with intentions of seperating him from the daughter, and to there surprise he met they requirements on an average of move then the candidates they had, second to him was subject 46. Carlos had survived the stages they expected him to die. Now seeing there daughter become a shadow of herself, from the joyful child they had been seeing since she met her friend and the people in that town. Lately they have been wondering if they made a right decision. But it was to late and they could not turn back cause they had already gone far with the experiment and he was one of the most responsive candidate they had.

They had already created something extraordinary in that boy and they were going to lose money and years if work if anything happened to him. So there daughter would one day forget and move one from what she was feeling. And she one day thank them from preventing her of making the biggest mistake of her life , failing in love with commoner and in a place like this.Once she was done with school they would send her away so she can live with her grandma or go to college. That was there plan for Anna until they found out they needed her blood to infuse with the other candidates so the mutation serum would work at ease in them
