Anna had felt lost without Carlos, they had become really attached from the time they and become friends, they spend almost every day together and alot of things together. It was like getting back to her old life after carlos disappearance, she was always sad even when she tried so hard to hide it everyone at the orphanage, everyone saw it, her personality had changed, all they could do was be there for her and just encourage her that all shall be well. Even the children had noticed a change in her but they always made sure they made her smile and laugh. She felt bad that she could not function well when she was out and teaching, so she asked the children's care takers if she could lessen the days she was there but she would live things for the children to do. Yes her worry over Carlos life and as time and days want by her worry kept on increasing but never once did she ever give up on looking for him and she had kept trying to find anything that could lead her to her friend. She spent time with his family constantly assuring them he would be found and giving them back hope they were losing and prayed with them. They would make jokes on how Carlos would react and make jokes, the memories they shared of him and after cry cause they missed. Carlos mom would huge Anna and his sister assure them that he was okay and he would be back, they just had to keep the faith and believe he was was okay and he would return home. Anna breathed in, closed her eyes and wiped a tear that ran down her face, she reopened her eyes looked up to the sky and spoke inwardly, Carlos were are you .

One evening her parents came home and were excited about the good results they got from a project they have been working on, they talked about how the two candidates they had were responding positively to the newly formed treatment they were working on. When she questioned about the project and what that was and they told her there current project , that they were trying and make was to find a cure for cancer and any other disease that had treatment but could not be fully cured, there research was going to make that possible and maybe even cure permanently some disease and making a free disease world. They talked about how the serum they are working on could become the next best thing, it would boost up people's immune system and giving them long healthier life, slow ageing and disease free. Humans lifes would be better and with stronger immunity to fight infections, virus and others and it was going to change the world.

Anna loved her parents and admired there work, they were very hard working people and so passionate about there work, they took on projects and tasks that alot of people would not take, they loved a good challenge and its what made them good at what they did and worked hard till they got results they were looking for . It was sad that they were never always there for her but they made sure she had everything except there love and care of her parents, and no matter what they did or did not do, she loved them, they were her world, the only family she knew abd and had. She prefectly understood the importance of there work from her childhood. Her parents where focused and determined to make the world safe and better place. She always saw them as her very own role models and there passion to save lives was what made her have that desire to help people and her dream was to become a professional health care provider and maybe one day be part of her parents team and work with them. It was her dream, her love for the cause and her strong desire to be the change she would want to see in the world pushed her to study hard, in order for her to achieve her goals. She told her parents how she would love to work with them one day and even gave them ideas on areas and people who would highly benefit from there projects.

She said goodnight to her parents and went to her room, before going to bed she did the assignments, her school would send to her and when she was done, she took a relaxing bath. She got out of the bath tub and dried herself went to her wardrobe picked a pair of pajama shorts and a tshirt. She got some paper work snd her notebook from her bag and laid down a map she had on the bed, she was trying to see the places she had already looked at for clues and had marked parts of those places on the map, that she had been to, trying to find answers or any little information she could get about her friend. She then checked the map marked two places and she then noted down in her notebook of the places she was going to check on the following morning. She made her plans for the following day and called it a night.

She went to bed that night thinking of what she will do tomorrow and visit the kids at the orphanage just to read and play with them, as those thoughts continued to run through her mind, sleep came and swept her away. She woke up the following day to a really quiet house, she had become so used to the silence. It was a Saturday so she had a free day to herself, Liliana the house help did not work most weekends, so she was basically alone. She left her room to get some water. She knewn her parents had left and the house help wasnt coming that day. She decided to make pancakes and some fruits on the side for breakfast , when she was done she went to the TV room to watch some movie, after she was done she left the living room to go bath and hopefully begin her day and go out. But something got her attention, her parents had left or forgotten a folder on the dining table, she looked at it, it had the words confidential written on the cover of it. She never really knew the kind of researches the parents would do, apart them saying they medical research on finding cures to cancer and other diseases. That excited her to finally get a chance to see there work so she was tempted to have a look at her parents work for the first time, she tired not to but her heart told her to go through.

She picked the folder and opened it , it contained papers written Animal DNA Combination research, she flipped the pages which had words on the projects and things she could not understand and stopped when she came to parts which had weird pictures animal that looked like hybrid animals, which had different animal feathers combined in one animal. What kind of creatures are these , they was a lion with a wolf mouth and eagle wings, a monkey with long claws and long tongue and scales like a snake and a few others she could not name and at the bottom of the last picture, it read that those creatures and others in the pictures had accepted the animal mutation DNA and reacted well to the serum. Some pictures had dead animals cut up or missing a organ or part of there body or something, at the bottom it read failed experiment, due to the subjects body rejected and fault the serum. The results had shown tremendous results with most animal mutations and which took hybrid forms, good strength, sight and other senses.

She was shocked with what she saw and read through, she just found out that her parents were not working on healing people but animal mutations she thought, but why were they mutating the animals. That thought want on untill she got to the end which stated they would initiating human trial, subjects males between the ages to 15 to 25. Her mind went blank for a while as she wondered if her parents had something to do with the missing people. What humans were they going to tests on she thought.

She decided to take some photos of the documents so she could go through them and try to understand what her parents where doing. The pictures she saw were for different animals only and no humans she was scared to see what they would do to human beings if this is what they did to the poor animals they tested on. Some images and information she read made her feel sick and went to throw up in the bathroom, what kind of human beings would do this to innocent living things, she felt her parents where good hard working people they wouldn't do that but all documents had there names and signatures on them approved by or authorised by them.. As she continued to go through ideas started to pop in her head she could ask her parents if she could visit the facility they worked for, for her school project. She will bring it up at dinner if they even attend dinner with her today.

Evening came and her parents never showed up , she was so annoyed and felt bad cause her parents were hiding something and she wanted to find out what was happening and what her parents were really working on, cause they was nothing in that folder she read that had anything on the research for cancer and things they had told her about healing the world and making it a better place. They lied to her and she looked up to them and wanted to be them, but the things she saw, that they did to those poor animals and the part that said the human testing trial were starting, she couldn't stomach the thing's she felt they animals and were going to do to humans or there where already doing to those people missing. If the animal tests where that bad and dangerous, she imagined how the human trials be. The thought sickened her so much that she throw up all she ate and after started to do an online search for anything that would explain what her parents were into but cama out empty. She had wasted an entire day trying to find answers and explanations. She had even failed to do the things she planned to do the previous night.

She finally give up and dicided to go sleep and she would began her work in the morning. She needed to know what her parents were doing and if they where the reason people where missing in that town, she needed to find out why . She thought of Carlos and were he was and if he was still alive and what of the other people missing as well. A numbers of families had been posting pictures of there missing loved ones whom had disappeared without a trace . The police had no news and nor had they any leads concerning the situations, and it was disappointing the they showed little to no concern on the reported missing people. They kept going on with there work like nothing happened but the sadness and crying that was seen in the eyes of the people who had lost a family member, that was a constant reminder and the only sign the broke the hearts of the people and reason alone that effected everyone in that community. People lived in fear and they where afraid of what happen next and who else would be taken from among them, they protected there children, the streets where no longer filled with laughter and joy, children noisily playing around, it was dead silent and sad. The police were quiet and did not feel the effect or pain that those families were going through. She would try to get answers if not at least help this families know the truth about what happened to there loved ones.
