At the beginning of the new year, the State Legislature convened, and Governor Chai honorably retired, while Executive Deputy Governor Guo was successfully elected as the new Governor. At the end of February, under the leadership of Robert “Rob” Lane, the Oregon Heavy Machinery Plant successfully completed its equipment upgrade, resumed production, and officially transformed into a manufacturer of crusher products. The Oregon Electric Group (OEG) held a commendation meeting to recognize the contributions of Engineer Lane and other members of the upgrade team to this equipment upgrade. Deputy Governor Scott Ping kept his word, personally attending the meeting and presenting Engineer Lane with an award.
