“They’re not chasing us anymore, are they?” Andrew said to the man, glancing back several times, hoping those people had indeed stopped pursuing them. “We’re way beyond their range now. I doubt they’d chase us all the way out here,” replied the slightly chubby man. He eased off the gas pedal, gradually slowing the car down until it cruised at a steady speed on the still-busy road. Unlike him, who seemed oddly calm after that wild chase, Andrew was far more alert.
