Sophia pulled her hand back from Ricky, startled as she heard Dan call out the name of the guy she'd been beating up repeatedly. Just as shocked as Sophia, Andrew froze when he realized how casually Dan addressed Ricky.
"Did you know him?" Sophia asked, her voice hesitant.
"Of course, he knows me! We used to work at the same place before," Ricky snapped, shrugging Sophia's hand off. He darted over to Dan, who suddenly burst out laughing at the sight of his old friend. Both men threw their arms around each other in a bear hug, patting each other's backs like it had been forever since they'd last met.
"You sly devil! How the hell did you end up here?!" Dan exclaimed, laughing with joy and disbelief.
"Well, Killian sent me."
"So, he already knew what needed to be found?" Dan asked.
