Killian had said he'd be gone for less than twenty-four hours, so about twenty hours after his work was done, Killian would definitely be back at this house. Dan had to admit that Killian might not be a nice person when on duty, not someone with high compassion, and acted as if he was superior, capable of doing everything without detailed orders.
In her head, Sophia thought, "I couldn't possibly do it knowing my life was on the line." But she couldn't say that to Dan and make their situation even more awkward.
