The room buzzed with chatter as Ash Kaiden announced he’d be the one calling the shots from now on, taking full charge of the folks seated in the parliamentary chairs, promoting some from their previous positions, and personally vetting every single person in his ranks. No exceptions.
But hey, up until this very moment, everyone had Ash pegged as the Alpha whose job was keeping the Pack in check, maintaining stability, meeting with Alphas from other Packs to hash out business deals, or working on stuff that revolved around making the Pack stronger and better. Building up The Eastern Barn Pack, that was his thing, his grind.
So yeah, this was a curveball, something totally out of left field. Naturally, a couple of Elders who had no clue what was driving Ash to make this move
