Leaving Killian and Anna downstairs, Dan decided to open the backpack filled with loot they had taken from the bunker in the forest. He was amazed by the gold bars and old money stuffed inside. Dan had never seen so much gold and cash in his life.
"Are you sure no one will come looking for this stuff later?" Dan's worry was evident as he realized they might get into trouble if the original owner of the bunker suddenly showed up and searched for everything in the vault.
But if that were the case, it should have happened years ago, before Killian found the place to hide the device they had built ten years ago. Besides, the money was last issued about fifty years ago, so it was unlikely that the owner or their heirs would ever come looking for it.
