*Dimos* I become acutely aware of her stiffening and withdrawing, physically removing her hand from my grasp, and emotionally erecting an invisible but chilling barrier between us. The horror that crosses her lovely features takes me aback. "Don't be ridiculous. Marriage is not for me." She says. Did she never consider it?
