Olsen’s guy drove me back to the house while Olsen waited for Jeanette’s attorney and Bran and the ADA and the DOJ and whoever else wanted to be part of this domestic drama. I did not. A couple of officers were still milling about downstairs, mostly sticking to the library. I went upstairs to my room and tried unsuccessfully to take a nap. Every time I’d start to doze off, I’d have a heart-stopping sense of vertigo, of literally falling into the dark. After about half an hour, I gave up and got online to try to resolve my travel.
