The moment Pat had been dreading arrived. The credits of the show scrolled up the screen of June’s television, and Aeli detached herself from his side to put the disc back in its case. The comfort of having snuggled with her on the couch—there was no point in trying to convince himself they hadn’t been snuggling—for the better part of two hours distracted him pleasantly for a moment, and he was too amused to question the strengthening bond between them.
