JENNIFER The autumn breeze whispered through the campus, carrying snippets of conversation and the distant laughter of students enjoying their freedom between classes. Sandy and I walked side-by-side down a tree-lined sidewalk, making our way toward the library, she couldn't help but bring up Luca. "So, you and Luca, huh?" Sandy began, with a raised eyebrow. "I thought we agreed to stay away from him?" I sighed, my frustration still fresh from the previous day when Luca had abandoned me at the mall to go after some girl in a skimpy leather skirt and boots. "Believe me, Sandy, I don't want to get involved with Luca any more than you do," I reassured her. I had managed to find my way home, fuelled by a blend of anger and hurt, and since then, I had shunned him like the plague itself
