JENNIFER The next day, I walked into a packed classroom, and the only available seat happened to be next to Luca. Sandy, sandwiched between two other guys, did her best to avoid eye contact with me. With no other option, I reluctantly took the seat next to Luca, thinking he would vacate it since it was clear he didn't want anything to do with me.
