This is what he deserves

Nobody suggested taking Claude to the hospital even though it was the smartest thing to do, given the extent of his injuries. Nobody really liked him anyway . Finally, David caught his breath ''Call an ambulance!'' Gina and Joanne glanced at each other. Then, Joanne jogged over to the office phone on Claude's desk and promptly called the emergency services. ''Hell..uh hello?'' Joanne choked into the phone ''Yes ma'am, how may I help you?'' Joanne looked over her shoulder at Claude's almost lifeless body. ''I...my boss, I mean he is..I think he got into a fight.'' The operator on the other end of the line rolled her eyes as she punched in keys on her laptop, signaling the ambulance and medical team. ''Where are you ma'am?'' '' At my office, of course,'' Then, Joanne realized that the operator was asking where her office was. ''It's at 2747 avenue, Frederickson Building.'' "Okay, ma'am, I've contacted the relevant authorities. Have you attempted any first aid on the victim?" " I haven't, I called emergency services as soon as I could." "Is he breathing?" "I don't know," Joanne barked. She was getting agitated. Where was the ambulance? "I've been here the whole time, on the phone with you." As if sensing her distress, the emergency service call agent told her that the ambulance was on its way. Joanne disconnected the call and walked over to the couch where Gina had begun wiping the blood off Claude's body, while David leaned against a wall, rubbing his knuckles. Joanne tapped David's shoulder and he turned around with a scowl. ''Sorry, but I wanted to ask what happened to Mr. Frederickson.'' David smiled softly and despite the blood on his face, he was very handsome. ''I'm not sure, but I'm assuming he was mugged by several men. One man wouldn't stand a chance against Claude." Joanne closed her eyes, trying to think of what could have happened in the little time that Claude had left the office after yelling at her. David misunderstood her silence and placed a bloody hand on her back. " He'll be fine. I promise, you will have your boss back in a few weeks." Joanne forced a smile that didn't quite reach her eyes as she heard the sirens signaling that the ambulance was arriving. A small crowd had gathered outside the office and they were all peeking their heads inside, trying to catch a glimpse of the powerful Claude injured. Everybody was giving Joanne dirty looks as if what happened to Claude was her fault. The whispers made her cheeks red and she glanced at Gina for support. Gina gave her an encouraging look. The paramedics lifted Claude onto the stretcher and took him away while David followed close behind. The crowd dispersed soon after, but Joanne found that her legs couldn't move. She looked at the couch. It was ruined, soaked in blood that was turning darker with every passing second, indicating that it had dried. With a sad sigh, she walked out of the office to find Gina. *** Claude could only remember bits and pieces of what had happened to him after he stormed out of the office. It was all that i***t girl's fault. She couldn't even be trusted to remember to put the files of the deal he'd just crossed a day ago on his computer. What was the purpose of an assistant if they couldn't do their job? He'd stormed out of the office because he couldn't bear to see the injured look on his face. Her eyes had looked so big and wet as she stared at him and all he wanted to do was kiss her. Her little pink lips were wet because she kept rubbing her tongue against them and it made him want to lick them for her. He needed to step away from that s****l attraction before he bent her over on his desk and did dirty things to her until she was screaming his name and although she was legally an adult, he was still 26 years older than her. He was busy building his empire and f*****g women before she was even born. Those were the thoughts that were going through his head when a man tapped his shoulder. Claude turned around and asked the stranger what the matter was. "That's a fancy watch, sir" The stranger had said, before Claude felt a pinch on his neck and the world went black. As he was losing consciousness, Claude felt something slice his wrist, he retaliated with a punch about as strong as he could manage in his state. He grabbed hold of a solid body and slammed it into the asphalt. Claude felt himself falling and he heard a sickening crunch. He was being dragged into an alley. He couldn't feel anything, probably because of the drugs that were injected into his system. A couple of strong hands held him down, but he managed to break free and run onto the sidewalk where he struggled to get to his office without anybody seeing. When the elevator doors pinged open, David was standing there and instantly, he hurried to drag his cousin into the office and then Claude fainted. It was embarrassing and if anybody asked, he would instantly deny it and punch them in the face to ensure they never spoke again. When he finally woke up and tried to open his eyes, it was like somebody had dumped a bucket of sand in them. He groaned and his throat began to burn. He felt his lips separating and something cold hitting his tongue. He scrunched up his face and forced his eyes open. There was a halo around Joanne's head and her face was grim as she fed Claude ice chips. She caught his eye and smiled hesitantly. ''Good morning, sir," She greeted, smiling as best as she could. Claude's eyes had darkened with dislike but she forced herself to keep going. "How are you feeling?" Claude glared at her.
