He picked up on the first ring. “How was your day?” he asked, calm, cool, and collected. “Someone’s been inside our house,” I said, panicked, talking fast. “Slow down. Take a deep breath.” “I found more letters in our front yard and inside the house.” I was pleading with him to listen. “There must be a reasonable explainable for all of this,” he said. “I’ll be home soon.” “You have to come now.
