Not even dating...

DINO

After Monique and I talked she hurried away. I offered to take her home but she refused. I noticed that her palms were sore again. Because maybe she biked up to the top of the mountain.

After I talked to her that night. I proved to myself, That I wanted her.

This feeling is new to me, So I don't know, where or how to begin.

It has been a week after we talk. I thought hard about whether I would be able to stand up for my decisions when it came to Monique.

I flipped my brain, squeezing it until it exploded so I could get myself the answer I was looking for.

I know that Monique has been through a lot and I don't want to add or join in the bad things that happened to her.

So I can't decide for myself. I have to put Monique first.

So whatever I do to deny or don’t think about her and try to stay away from her there's only one answer I keep going back to: I want her so much that I can do anything to fight for her.

It was Monday, I was about to go to school when I saw Monique eating at the convenience store with her friends.

She was eating chips for a breakfast. I went straight inside the convenience store and bought the healthiest food I had ever seen.

When I came out, I went straight to Monique's side and they were silent for a moment. I took the chips Monique was eating and ate, I handed her the Vegetables sandwich I bought.

"It's so early for you to eat chips for breakfast. Eat that. That's why you're thin." I simply shrugged while eating her chips.

"Why are you eating my chips if it's not healthy?" She was smiling back at me. She was being playful.

Her friends was trying to contain their laughter. They know me. They know better.

I stopped eating chips and laid it down on the table and I looked at her. She was opening the sandwich at that time and took a bite.

"Are you ready?" I asked her a serious question.

"Ready for what?" off course she had no idea what I have stored for her.

But instead to enlighten her, I stood up.

"Gotta go." I leave them, with a big smile plastered on my face. It's been a while to experience happiness and calmness like this. And I already love it.

MONIQUE

COFFEE SHOP, DAEGU COMMUNITY VILLAGE

The rest of the class goes by quickly. So I'm here for my part time now. There were too many customers because there was a festival in the Park earlier so we rushed in and now my back hurts. Bea was sitting on the floor and also tired. Junyoung is in storage and taking a nap.

I was about to bust the tables when Dino entered the shop, Smirking like a devil himself.

I was just standing at the counter when he leaned over.

"1 caffe americano and 1 cappuccino." He ordered.

"Okay, One moment sir." I emphasized the word 'sir' making him chuckles.

I prepared the drinks he ordered I serve him at the counter and turn around to clean the counter behind me. But when I turn around the cappuccino was left on the front counter, I looked at Dino at the table just in front of me who was busy drinking his coffee and reading a magazine. And I noticed that there was a note that said "Drink. You'll need this"

How did he know that my favorite kind of coffee is Cappuccino? The gesture makes me smile. And when I looked at him again he was now looking at me then smiled. I try to hide the smile that was plastered on my face awhile ago.

Customers flocked again and we became busy that I forgot Dino's presence.

With so many people we didn't even notice it was night and it was time to close up the coffee shop.

I also just remembered that Dino was here earlier. I looked for him in the shop but he was gone. Maybe he went home.

"I saw him come out about 1 hour ago." Junyoung whispered to me.

"I'm not looking for him." I chuckles. then continued to clean the place.

"Don't masked yourself. That's how I was with Bea when I was still courting her."

I just laughed. We finished cleaning and closed the shop, Junyoung grabbed my shoulder out of the shop and still teased me with Dino.

We laughed when I saw Dino standing in front, Hands on his pocket, eyebrows raised and staring wickedly at Junyoung's hand. Junyoung immediately removed his hand.

"You still here?" I asked.

"Yeah. Good thing I'm still here." His tone has some accusation laced in every word he said.

Junyoung stiffen beside me.

"Actually, He's..." I'm about to tell him that he is in fact Bea's boyfriend but Bea came running from the shop towards us and latch herself in Junyoung.

I sighs in relief. Just about time, Bea. Wait why did I feel so guilty? We're not even dating or something.

Dino's look calmed down a bit when he saw how sweet Junyoung and Bea were.

"Yeah. They were a couple." I gestured to the both of them.

I chuckles, Then Dino messed up with my hair.

My heart fluttered.

Bea and Junyoung left.

"I'll take you home." He offered me.

"I'm not going home yet. There's an event at Yoon Mansion. I'll still help Mom there."

"Okay. I'll take you there."

We decided to just walk. We just chatted and laughed. I never thought of being with someone like Dino, With the kind of person he is, I can feel this kind of silence. The calmness I'm craving all my life.
