I leave the bedroom in search of food after the morning's unexpected but completely mind-blowing events. I find Grace sitting on Josh’s lap on the couch. They are sharing cut-up fruit as well as sucking each other’s faces. I need eggs and bacon in my life right now.
“Hey you’re up!” Grace jumps off Josh rushing to me, leaving him pouting on the couch. “How are you feeling? I remember Gideon carried you to bed last night.”
“I’m fine. I had water and a shower and now I just need some hard-core breakfast in my stomach. Anyone else want some scrambled eggs and bacon?” A few of the warriors sitting in the area said yes, including Josh. I’ve heard they can eat a lot of food.
