Abducted

Licia's POV I gazed out the tinted window as we arrived at the Diamond Pack, hidden behind an emerald forest and snow-capped mountains. It was a beautiful scene, but it held no beauty for me as Chloe's death haunted me. I was a murderer. All I could hear was Chloe's scream and her face in shock as I pushed her. “Hope the accident earlier wasn't traumatic for you.” The Lycan's doctor and only friend, Oliver, asked as I gave a nod. “Don't worry, he will come around.” He said referring to the Lycan who wouldn't say a word to me after I killed my sister. “I didn't mean to kill her, I only wanted her to stop. Her taunts awakened a rage inside me.” “It wasn't your fault.” He said to me as I flashed him a smile. “Whenever he speaks, keep your head low and don't talk back, don't worry it will be fine.” He assured me as I looked out the window. “Mother meant it when she called me a beast, I was a monster to end my sister's life over a man,” I whispered as Oliver stared at me, with a question on his face. “You pushed her because of an ex?” He asked rather alarmed as I gave a nod. “That's a tough one, Lucas is a jealous lover.” He said as I gulped, wondering what I'd caused myself. "We have arrived," Oliver said, his voice low and kind as he breathed on my neck. I nodded numbly, allowing him to help me from the vehicle. Lucas, the Lycan Alpha, walked past us without saying a word as I shivered with fear, his aura was cold, but Oliver kept reassuring me. “But the Lycan is a notorious killer, he would have eventually killed Chloe if I hadn't accepted to marry him, why does he care so much now ?” I pondered. “That’s because Lucas dotes on family, his were killed when he was younger,” Oliver replied as I stared at him, not worried at his response, but how he heard me. “I didn't say that out loud, Yes?” I asked. “Well, you did.” He said with a shrug as he walked ahead of me, but I was sure, that was just my thought, but I decided to let it go. We approached the pack house. From tales I've heard, a Lycan's pack house was very lovely, but standing before me was no different from the evil castle of Alice in Wonderland. “Welcome to the pack house,” Oliver said but before I could give a response, a lady ran to me. “Welcome Luna.” She said with glee. “Luna? Don't call her that, the rites are yet to be made.” Oliver said rather pissed. “Well, who cares? The Lunar Tether is tonight and she will soon be one without her mate, by the way, I'm Glee.” She said, introducing herself as Oliver shifted uncomfortably. “Come meet the others,” Glee said as we walked down the eloquent hallway. Soon we arrived at a room with Lucas in it and there I met nine ladies in revealing attire, they were the epitome of perfection with flawless figures and I couldn't help but compare myself to them. “Ladies, meet Licia.” Lucas introduced me, this was the first time he would be looking at me, but as soon as his eyes met mine, he turned away. “Take good care of her.” He added, walking away with great strides without saying another word, when he suddenly paused. “Oliver, come with me.” “What about Licia?” He whispered as the Lycan gave a confused glare. “Is she your mate or mine? She will be taken care of, you, come with me.” He commanded as the room became still. I turned to the ladies as their eyes locked onto me, filled with disdain. I guessed that they weren't used to seeing someone like me who wasn't up to their beauty. I couldn't help but wonder how I was the Lycan's mate and why he wanted me when he had these ladies. I wasn't one to share my man with women so I stood bewildered, I wasn't even fit to be in these ladies' presence. My curves couldn't be compared to them and I had extra weight. I stood staring at them, unsure of what to do when Glee suddenly broke the silence. “My ladies, I know it's awkward, but you must have heard of her, she's the Lycan's mate and tonight she will be our Luna. So let harm not come her way, you know the Lycan doesn't joke with what's his.” She said as everywhere fell silent again. Discomfort filled me as their stares wouldn't leave my skin. “Introduce yourself.” Glee nudged as I cleared my throat. “I'm Licia, the Lycan's mate,” I said in a husk voice as a grunt came from one of the ladies. “You know the Lycan surprises me… This?” “Not to talk of an ugly one at that.” Another chirped in. “And a murderer.” Another said as I gasped in horror, the eight ladies, were shocked as well, how did they get to know about this? “Who did she kill? Oh my God, I'm scared now.” The first lady said with mockery. “Her sister –” “Ruby, that will be enough,” Oliver said, walking into the room as he held my wrist. Her words stung me, hitting my insecurities. “I will take her, Lord Oliver,” Glee said, placing her hands on my shoulder. “You would have done that before now.” Oliver cautioned. “Are you okay?” He asked turning to me, making me wonder why he cared so much. “I am.” I was already used to the taunts so, it wasn't new to me, but the fact I had killed Chloe because of Femi would ever hunt me. I deserved things worse than what they're doing to me. “Get over it, they're not worth it,” Glee said as we walked down the hallway to my room. “Why's life so unfair, how can someone so fat and imperfect be the mate to Lycan Lucas, while we're just s*x slaves.” A lady added loud for me to hear. “You're a s*x slave, I'm his mistress.” Another said with a high-pitched laughter. “They're jealous of you, you have a nice body, I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I mean it, you aren't that fat, you mustn't be slender like all of us and you're really pretty.” Glee said as we arrived at the room. "They will soon come around." She encouraged. “I'm a murderer, I don't deserve nice words,” I said as tears left my eyes. “I'll say she deserved it, common, it wasn't intentional and you're too big for that. You'll be getting marked tonight to the greatest Lycan. Do you know how many ladies want this position?” She asked as I gave a light smile. “Now, that's what I'm talking about. Let's get you ready.” Glee's voice filled the room as she chatted away during my makeover, handing me fruits and veggies as she shared her knowledge about the Lycan. She seemed to know him intimately. Her stories and lively attitude brought a smile to my face. Glee was truly a lovable person. After an hour, the makeup artist finished transforming my face, and I was ready for the rites. I turned to the mirror and caught a glimpse of my face, I couldn't believe how good I looked. Throughout my life, I had never worn makeup or taken care of my appearance, simply because my mother had ingrained in me that no matter what I did, I would always be ugly. Oliver soon walked into the room, his gaze lingering uncomfortably. "Is everything okay?" I asked, my voice filled with worry. "I don't think you're making the right decision." He whispered as I stared surprised at his outburst. "What do you mean?" "There's no time to explain, you need to leave now, come with me." He said grabbing my hands before I could say a word. But as soon as he held me, a man dressed in a ninja attire walked into the room and shot Oliver, right in the chest and placed a piece of clothing filled with chloroform on my face.
