I exited the bar with Meg, leaving the crowd in shock and awe. I processed the havoc that just occurred. If the royal Marines are here, the Emperor must really be taking this seriously. He really does want all the gangs wiped out. Or is he after something else... "Oh yeah...how did you find me? Why are you even here ?" I asked Meg. As grateful as I was, I still did not understand why she was still with me. Usually, she would follow me on any type of mission, but we were not actually on a mission. "We had something urgent to report... We could not wait till the next day." Meg replied, looking down on the ground, possibly feeling guilty for intruding in my nightly routine. Before long, the air around us heated up rapidly and the wind blew aggressively around us. We covered our eyes and turned to see a dropship descending on our location. It was quickly followed by the thumping of boots planted on the ground and the c*****g of guns. "Go, go, go!" we heard voices of soldiers rushing each other. Meg and I found ourselves surrounded by at least a dozen Marines with a dropship looming overhead. "I count a dozen at least," Meg said, attempting to maintain a calm exterior. She was battle-ready, hand hovering her blasters on her waist. "And I count at least two snipers in the ship," I added on. Unlike her, I did not move into a defensive position. "Attention gangsters... This is sergeant Thermos of the 52nd company of the Royal Marines. I am under orders to arrest you. Come quietly and you will have a fair trial. Show resistance and we will not hesitate to kill you." a marine over a radio system was heard. Hearing his words only amused me. I established a neural link with Meg. " Pretend to surrender and prepare to cover your ears. "I specifically instructed her. With no other option, she defeatedly raised her hands and I followed suit. Soon after a marine dropped down from the ship. He donned blue and silver Armour, signifying his higher rank. His Armour was also filled with scratches, showing he had been in many battles. He nodded to his men and they prepared the handcuffs "Deadeye! Cross! Are you there?" I established a link with my two marksmen, when Meg said 'We' i could only assume that these two were part of it. "We read you loud and clear cap" deadeye's silky smooth voice answered my call. "You know what to do..." I said knowingly. As the Marines advanced to cuff us, a white joystick on an extendable arm raised itself from my left sleeve, a red button glowed on the edge of it. The soldiers saw it and were shocked but were too late to react. Upon pressing the button, a high-frequency screech emanated from my body, knocking those who heard to the ground in pain. Instantly Meg and I bolted past their encirclement. Just as we left, two sniper bolts pierced the air. *KACHING * *KACHING *  not long after, the dropship went up in flames, crashing onto the Marines. "Cross! Get the speeder we got more comin from above! " I ordered. In almost an instant, a car-shaped vehicle with yellow and black stripes descended upon our location. In the driver's seat, Cross greeted us. Mechanical eye patch flashing blue and long green hair in a ponytail. " On time as always! " he exclaimed announcing his presence. I smirked at his smug nature. Cross and Deadeye were two of the most reliable people in my gang, the Ion Skulls, always on time, by my side and ready to back me up. Their marksmanship is also exceptional, always hitting the bullseye. While Deadeye preferred to sit in his perch and shoot from a distance, Cross was always ready to get his hands dirty and display his skills up close. Abruptly, Cross's mechanical eye patch turned red and his face darkened. He whipped out his crossbow from his waist and took aim at me. "What are you..." I could not finish my sentence. I sense that he was about to pull the trigger. I instinctively rolled to the side to avoid the shot. *PEW * *PEW * I dodged in the nick of time to hear two laser bolts whistle through the air. I could feel my anger flare up and about to boil over. I was absolutely fuming and ready to snap Cross's neck between my fingers. But before I could, I heard the explosion sound of two speeders. Confused, I turned behind two see two Marines on the ground lifeless with speeder bikes in flames. "Good shots..." I said through my teeth, lingering anger from potential treachery evident in my voice. "Let's get outta here." 3 more dropships lingered above our position. Searchlights were activated. Common thugs with no affiliation were being arrested and some common poor folk was being arrested to be proved for info. They are locking down the underground...
