BACK TO PRESENT ‹ RYAN'S OFFICE › The bullet from Ryan's shotgun was in the wall behind the security guard in less than a second. The security guards were trembling in fear, their eyes shone in amazement as they looked from the wall to Ryan and then back to the wall. Mr Kims was too stunned for words, he just stood rooted to the spot while Ryan's eyes reddened so much, that they looked like they were going to bleed. The guards got up hastily and ran out of Ryan's office. Ryan dropped the gun on his table and sat down before sipping his drink while swerving his chair. “You wanted to see me.” He looked at Mr. Kims, who was dumbfounded. “Um ... .my…..Liv ... .we…dding” He stuttered. “Mr. Kims, I'll appreciate it if you speak clearly so that I can have the leverage to understand you” Ryan smirked. TARAM MANSION ‹ TRISHA'S ROOM › “I just got married 3 weeks ago, and I already have enemies, I'm certainly doomed” Trisha was pacing around as she spoke to herself. “Not only did they not tell me that the i***t was engaged to a b***h, nobody let me in on how Damien was related to this family” She held her head as she walked to and fro the room. “Now I have to deal with wearing an over-revealing dress at an overcrowded party to evading attacks from a slut!!!!” She exclaimed. Damien stood by the door relaxing on the frame, watching her in amusement. She hadn't taken notice of him and he's been here for the past 2 minutes. Trisha felt eyes on her and she spun around utterly surprised to find Damien standing there. “Who the hell gave you permission to enter my room without knocking? Do you want to catch me naked?” she glared. “Wouldn't be a bad idea” Damien grinned as he invited himself in and sat down. “Besides, your door was wide open,” He added. “Still doesn't give you the right to enter after what you did’ She muttered. “And what exactly did I do, if I may ask?” He asked. “You're not going to ask me that, we both know what you did, I don't even know why I'm talking to you” She backed him and folded her hands. “I've said it over and over again, I don't have a hand in your father's a*******n” Damien replied. “But how did you know where he was? How did the kidnappers know your name? Why were you with his shirt? Why did you suddenly ghost me? Why didn't you reply to my messages? Did you think you could just hop into my life like that with no explanation whatsoever? How on earth are you even alive, the last time I saw you, I was told you were dead, I literally saw your dead body!!” She asked angrily. “Trisha, I know you think I abducted your father but I also have questions for you as well, why did you marry Ryan? What exactly are you doing here?” He asked. “What I do with my life is none of your business” She muttered. “I missed you so much….” “Don't give me that crap, if you really did, you have my contact and you know my address as well” she said, cutting him off. Damien stood up and wrapped his hands around her. She looked small and fragile in his hands, she recalled the feeling of being loved and tears welled up in her eyes. She turned and hugged him back sniffling. “What is going on here” Madam Nancy's shrill voice rang as she stared at both of them wide-eyed. Trisha quickly pulled away from Damien and faced Madam Nancy with her head bowed. “It's…no…not…” Trisha stuttered “It's none of your business, Nancy” Damien muttered and left the room leaving Trisha with Madam Nancy. “What is your relationship with Damien?” Madam Nancy asked as Damien left the room. “He's…. my childhood friend” She stuttered her head down. Madam Nancy took a deep breath and said “I hope you're getting ready for the party, we have less than a week left” “Yes, Mother,” she replied raising her head slightly. Madam Nancy left the room and Trisha let out a breath of relief as she fell into a nearby sofa putting her hand against her chest to feel her heartbeat. “It's starting to bother me, what exactly is Damien's deal with that family, it's going to be hard to ignore him” she sighed. Why do I still love him? He almost killed my father and I can't even shout at him for that, Naomi is not going to be happy about this. She thought to herself. TARAM ENTERPRISES ‹ RYAN'S OFFICE › Mr Kim took about 5 minutes to get himself up before sitting down on a chair facing Ryan. “Why did you doublecross my daughter like that, after engaging her….” “Did anyone see me at that engagement ceremony” Ryan cut him off. “But the entire media knew about the engagement, you just rubbed our name in the mud” Mr Kim gulped. “Did you see me at the engagement ceremony?” He asked again. “But someone represented you, you were out of town” He replied. “Did you see me at that ceremony?” Ryan asked for the third time with a straight face. “I didn't see you, but….” “You've gotten my answer, get out of my office” He cut him off again. “Are you thinking of what this would do to my name!! I'm not someone you can just toy with Ryan!!! I'm only trying to respect your father but you're dishing out disrespect to me in large quantities and you're pissing me off!!!!” He yelled. “Shut the door after you, Kims” Ryan concluded going back to the new MacBook sitting on his desk. “You'll regret this Ryan, you sure will” He spat before leaving the office. Ryan's phone rang and he took the phone to his ear. “What's up, it's been a while so I decided to call” Sin’s voice from the phone filled Ryan's ears. “Can you normalize talking normally” Ryan groaned. “Look, you need to come to the site behind the warehouse at Wesley Street, there are a lot of masked people going in and out from that place, I think it's a hideout and it might be our clue to finding out the a$shole who killed your old man” Sin further said his voice as loud as ever. “Where are you?” Ryan asked, shutting down the MacBook and reaching out for his car keys. “I'm at a bar on Wesley Street,” He replied. “The f**k!!! Why can't you talk calmly, you're letting out sensitive information and you don't know who's who in that place” Ryan muttered. “You're too scared, Ryan, this bar is full of drunken idiots and delusional ladies” Sin replied “I'll be right there” Ryan hung up. He pressed a button on his table and his office door opened and a beautiful slender lady walked in. “Sir, you called me” Lina answered flashing him seductive looks but he ignored her as usual. “Get the cleaner to clear that mess” He pointed towards the broken MacBook. “Lock up my office and don't take any more appointments for today” He further added, took his briefcase and left. Lina bit her lip and looked at herself “What's wrong with him, I'm not beautiful enough?, I'd love to see the fool he got married to” She muttered under her breath before leaving the office.
