Laura pov

That stupid b***h got me in trouble, I was trying to get her to shift so I could say she attacked me first but it didn't work, Instead he had her give me my punishment. I really thought she was going to send me to the dungeon for the rest of my life, but she didn't. She sent me on patrol. I thought it was stupid, but at least it wasn't the dungeon. So now I'm out here by the border watching to see if there are any rogues trying to break into our land. It was a nice night out here. It was a little chilly due to it being winter, it said on the news the other day it might just snow. It did last year and all the other years so that would be Normal for us. The lake would turn to ice and we could go ice skating, we could make snow angels and throw snowballs at each other. I could put a brick in one of the. And smash it at that b***h. That would put her out for a bit. I was looking up at the sky at the moon. It wasn't full just yet. And once it is, all of us get together and go for a run and sometimes find mates. My thoughts got interrupted when I heard some twigs snap. I sniffed the air to see if I could smell rogues, but I didn't smell anything, it just had been a rabbit or something. “When did you start going on patrol?” It was Chief, I think he has some kind of crush on me for some reason, I don't see why, he could have any girl he wants. He had long brown hair that almost went to his back. He usually wears it in a ponytail, he had beautiful hazel eyes and a body that any girl would crave for. He has tattoos up and down his arms, his muscles that goes on forever, he had a beautiful smile and at about 6.3 he was the tallest in the kingdom. And the sexiest. But I wanted Xander,

“Oh I tried to fight the queen and she put me on patrol that's all” I said it like it was nothing, he looked at me with a shocked look on his face.

“Laura, why the h3 would you do that for? You could have died. I don't see why you want the king. Unless it's power you're looking for, but if it's not then why bother. He seems to love the queen, that's his mate. Why don't you look for your mate and just be happy?” Was he joking? I have looked for my mate. He isn't around, either he's dead or has someone else thinking that I was dead., I thought of something. I haven't had a good time in awhile. Maybe Chief would be my good time.

“Are you here for shift change or did you just come and see me? Maybe Baxter my shift we could talk more about this mate thang. Even thought he's probably dead or just picked a chosen mate.”

“I don't know about that Laura, yeah, the king asked me to come get you from here. Since your shift is over. I didn't know why you was out here until you told me. So come on, are you hungry?” I was a little hungry. So why not.

“Yeah, I'm a little hungry. Wanna grab something to eat?”

When Xander asked me to go get Laura from patrol. I was a little shocked but I said I would. I didn't even know she liked patrol, she explained why she was out here, I don't see why she couldn't sense we where mates. I don't see the problem, I could smell her scent. But she couldn't smell mine. That's confusing.

“It's because she's too much into Xander, she thinks she can get him away from the queen, she won't want us,” I knew my wolf was right. She was too much into Xander, but I had to try. We started walking away from the border, we walked to my house that was not far to walk.

“So what do you have for dinner?”

“I got a pizza I made myself. You want half?” Her beautiful green eyes lit up. Her tongye kicked her lips.

“Yeah yeah, I didn't know you could cook. What kind of pizza is it?” I took it out of the refrigerator to heat it up lll n the oven. It took only ten minutes, placed it on the table.

Mushroom, olives extra cheese and pineapple,I cut it up in slices placing them in mine and her plate.

“Tell me what you think? It's my first time doing this.” We ate in silence as we ate. Once done. She washed the plates and then sat down.

“It was really good. You did an amazing job baking it. Maybe you can do this again sometimes, "she yawned as I got up. The castle was like forty minutes from here. So I offered her my bed for the night.

“So, I know it's late, how about sleeping over and you can go home in the morning. That is, if you want to?” she nodded and said.

“Sure. It's a long walk from here. Maybe I could stay for the two weeks that i'm doing this. I could clean and cook while staying here?’ s**t yeah, I thought to myself two weeks with having her around. Heck yeah,

“I'll have the help bring some clothes over tomorrow while I'm out patrolling. Would you care if I take a shower “ shaking my head, no, I said.

“I wouldn't mind at all, I gave her one of my shirts and a towel, and I laid on the couch. I'll just take a shower in the morning so the water will be nice and hot. I just had dozed off when I fell someone touching my arm, opening my eyes. I looked you and saw her looking at me smiling.

“Why are you sleeping on the couch. Why not sleep in the bed with me. I promise I won't bite.” She didn't have to ask me twice, i got off the couch and hurried into my bedroom,

“Give me a second, im going to take a quick shower and then ill be right out,” she nodded as i took the fastest shower i have ever had in my whole life, when i got out, i dried off, brushed my teeth and put on a pair of boxers, didnt really care if my hair was dry but i did put a towel on it once, than walked out of the bathroom, my eyes almost poped out of my head when i saw her laying on the bed with only my shirt on her, my shirt was perked up on her hip showing off her slender legs, damn it what was this woman trying to do to me, Getting into be, i scooted over by her, than asked,

“Now what the h3ll are you trying to do to me? Are you trying to give me blue balls or something?” i heard her laugh as she leaned down to kiss me, s**t if this is how she wants to play it, okay lets go for it, i wouldn't mind a roll in the hay with my mate even if she has no idea that we are, this could be kind of fun., i might just mark her in a spot that she would never guess, who knows it might just stay there,
