chapter 38

LeeAnn pov

I been here in this castle by myself for almost a week now, he said only twenty four hours if he was going to stay he would call me, of course he's the king, he might had other things to do and might had forgotten to call, but i really didn't care about that, i've been left alone before, what i was wanting is for him to be home so we could talk, i was suppose to act like i didn't know about things, but he is taking way too long to come back home, so I finally said screw it and mindlinked him,

‘He Xander, remember me, When are you coming home?” It took only a few seconds when he replied back, i heard him chuckle than say,

“How could I forget my pretend mate back at home. i'm hungry darling, so be ready when i get home,” i knew that shouldn't turn me on, but it did, i wanted more than just foreplay i wanted him, but not before our discussion, So that's what i said,

“Did you forget that you said we would talk when you got back home, Alpha,” i heard him playfully growl at me,

“Fine, we will talk when we get home, but i want more than just something to eat,” I thought i would shock the s**t out of him,

“Your not the only one alpha, i want more as well,” i heard him growl once more,

“You do know how to tease don't you, we will talk when we get home, and then we will eat dinner together,” After our talk, i decided to take a shower, So that's what i did, i wanted to make sure i smelled good before he got home, smelling like a sweaty pig that just got done training is not a good thing, So i went to shower and then got dressed and ripped jeans and a pull over green top, i put my hair in a ponytail, i didn't feel like putting on makeup, so i just didn't put any on. I slid into my sandals and then went downstairs. What i wasn't prepared for was the woman that was waiting downstairs, Laura. What the h3ll does she want,

“What do you want, Laura?” she smirked at me while she flipped her long blonde hair to the side. She looked at her friends, then back at me,

“Oh, i don't want anything, but the only thing i do want is for your to leave this castle and Xander alone,” Was this forreal, i mean come on already, didn't she get the picture that Xander did not want her, i mean if she couldn't get a clue when she saw us, than i think she is just nuts or something, I knew Xander would be home in a few hours so i wanted to get this done and over with and by the looks of her friends faces, i had a feeling this was going to be a fight, and i was ready for it,

“Okay Laura, i want you to listen carefully, if you can not figure out that Xander does not want you by now, than i don't know what your problem is, Hes mine, and mine alone, he's my man, my mate, do you see this mark on my neck right here, yea that one, that means we are marked and mated,”

“Laura. you said that she wasn't marked, but the mark is there plan as day,” one of the girls had said, she left, she wasn't having any part of it, the other two stood there giggling knowing damn well there was going to be a fight, others came from their room to see what was going on,

“You might be marked and mated b***h, but When he gets done with you, he will just toss you out like yesterday's trash,” i knew this was going to piss her off, but i said it anyways,

“Is that what he did with you, when he got done with you, he tossed you out like the trash you are;” she screamed at me calling me the w***e of the kingdom,

“YOUR NOTHING BUT THE w***e OF THE WHOLE f*****g KINGDOM, BEFORE HE CAME THAT NIGHT HE f****d ME, TOLD ME HE WANTED ME, WE WHERE GOING TO BE MARKED AND MATED, BUT YOU BEWITCHED HIM, WHAT DID YOU DO, WHAT SPELL DID YOU CAST ON HIM TO MAKE HIM MARK AND MATE YOU, YOUR NOT EVEN HIS MATE!!” Wait, did she know we were not mates, i wasn't going to fall for it, so i kept a straight face i didnt let her see that she bothered me. did they really have s*x before they came, but wait, didnt he shove her off and say nothing ever happened between them,

“i could had sworn Laura, at the alpha mating ball when you touched him, he jerked your hand from his arm, and said that you too never touched each other or even done anything, so who is the liar here,” Her face was turning red as a damn fire truck, she screamed then started to shift, i was ready for her, I was starting to Let Lola out when I heard a voice that i haven't heard in almost a week.

‘SHIFT BACK NOW!! AND THATS A f*****g ORDER!!” how the h3ll did he get back so fast. I turned to look at at the very man that said he would be home in a few hours. He was dressed only in shorts. He walked toward me kissing my forehead, then started down Laura, she growled at me baring her canines at me. He stood in front of me oh h3ll no. I don't need protection. stepping from behind Xander, I told her to bring it on. She suddenly jumped at me, she didn't make it very far when I punched her right in the nuzzle. She fell right on the floor, Xander stepped up, kneeled down in front of her and said in his alpha King's tone.

“I told you to shift your ass back right now, and I mean now. Girls get her something to cover up with.” They rushed toward her room bringing back a sundress, she shifted back hurrying to get dressed,

“Stand up NOW!” She did what she was told to do.

“Didn't I tell you to never disobey an order? And look what happened. You just got your @ss handed to you, LeeAnn, how do you want to handle this my queen.”

“I say, make her go to her room, but then that might not work, I want her on patrol for two weeks, I know she doesn't like it. So that's her punishment,”

“You heard her. Go get dressed, your shift starts now and ends at midnight. If I hear your not at the border with the others.you will be put in the cells for a month. Now GO!” She ran upstairs to get dressed. Xander grabbed me by my arm pulling me to him.

“Are you hurt, did she hurt you?” Is he forreal? Did I look like I'm hurt?

“No Xander, I'm not hurt at all. So how did you get home so fast?”

Xander pov

On the way back home I kept feeling really uneasy, like something was about to happen. For a few days I have been away from the castle and I have thought long and hard on things. I want LeeAnn to be my mate. Real mate but would he have me. I have strong feelings for her. I just don't know what those feelings are right now. We were only an hour away from home now. The way Dell has been driving I was surprised we haven't collided with another car. He wanted to be home with his mate as well. But I felt something was going on. I didn't like it one bit,

“Dell, Stop the car and let me out now. I'll run the rest of the way.” He didn't ask any questions. He stopped. I got out, shifted and started running. Running is faster. I would beat Dell by twenty minutes, I started running toward home, it took me thirty minutes to get home, that's when I really felt it. Someone was in my home threatening my queen. Putting on a pair of shorts then rushed into the house. And sure enough Laura was shifting to attack my woman.

SHIFT BACK NOW AND THAT'S AN ORDER!!!!” I could tell she was fighting my demand, when she growled and snapped her canines at LeeAnn, I got in front of her, she stepped in front of me and she said bring it. I thought it was awesome when Laura jumped and LeeAnn punched her in the snout. She went down hard. I wanted to laugh but that wouldn't be right, i was the king, the king never laughed unless behind closed doors, I asked LeeAnn what her punishment might be, i thought she would put her in the dungeon, or give her lashes on her back, but nope, she put her on patrol for two weeks, that wasn't really punishment, that was letting her go out in the woods and watch for any signed of rogues, to her that was fun, so i mindlinked some warriors and guards, to make Laura do a little more then watch for rogus, they asked that, i told them to surprise me, but nothing to harsh were she comes back all beaten up and ended up in the hospital bed, they laughed and said okay, I got a feeling she is not going to like this one bit, once they were gone, i looked her over making sure she was okay,who am i kidding, this girl can handle anything,

‘Come on, i think we need to have that talk, i have put this on hold far to long,
